The role of guest service assistants is to provide a friendly, warm, and memorable welcome to hotel guests while ensuring their expectations and needs are met throughout their stay. They are responsible for assisting with all guest service-related activities and tasks, including working closely with housekeeping, food and beverage, security and booking and reservations, handling guest inquiries and complaints, and assisting with the coordination of guest itineraries. Guest service assistants may also resolve conflict with guests and processing payment and settlements of guest accounts.
The guest service attendant attends to the services of guests at the main door or lobby of an accommodation property. The attendant handles everything concerning guest arrival and departure and may even have to assist in valet parking.
