The Minnesota Twins and Premier Sport Psychology are seeking a Mental Performance Intern to join our Fort Myers Player Development hub. This is a hands-on, immersive internship where youll learn from experienced consultants, contribute to real player development work, and build the skills needed for a future in applied sport psychology. What Youll Do Support Daily Mental Performance Programming Assist with delivering mental performance sessions for players and staff. Ensure workshops, team sessions, and individual sessions are organized, prepared, and aligned with daily goals. Provide on-field and in-facility support to drive consistency and connection across the day. Help Facilitate Player Development Workshops Prepare slides, handouts, and session materials with the Mental Performance staff. Co-facilitate workshops under direct supervision to build confidence and presentation skills. Capture feedback, participation metrics, and key takeaways from sessions. Build Applied Experience Through Observation & Coaching Observe 1-on-1 sessions, coach consultations, and team interactions. Take notes, reflect on intervention strategies, and participate in post-session debrief discussions. After observing and receiving guidance, provide individual mental performance sessions aligned with organizational frameworks. Contribute to Program & Tool Development Brainstorm and develop tools, exercises, and new content based on player needs. Help adapt performance psychology models for developmental athletes across levels. Bring fresh thinking and creativity to enhance the mental performance curriculum. Keep Operations Running Smoothly Support scheduling, tracking, data entry, and day-to-day logistics of programming. Maintain organized materials, tools, and documentation for players and staff. Ensure sessions and workshops run efficiently and professionally. Learn, Grow, and Be Mentored Attend weekly supervision meetings with Premier Mental Performance staff. Complete readings, case studies, and professional development assignments. Set personal learning goals and track your growth throughout the internship. Work On-Site Full Season (No Travel Required) This role is based full-time at the Fort Myers complex, supporting Spring Training, extended spring, rehab groups, GCL/FCL players, and short-season athletes. There is no travel associated with this position.
