Exodus House provides transitional residential services to adult males referred by the Department of Corrections. This is a 12 bed facility for young adult men with an average stay of 90-120 days. Lutheran Social Services (LSS) - Exodus House is located in Hudson, Wisconsin.
With support from our counselors and supervisor, our Adult Residential Support Professionals perform work involving the care, services, and treatment of clients seeking services in Addictions and Restorative Justice (ARJ) facilities (Substance Use Disorder and/or criminogenic risk/needs/responsivity factors).
This is a continuous posting in anticipation of future full-time (40 hours/week), benefit eligible opportunities on 1st shift.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:

Supports, interacts with, and monitors residents within established policies and procedures, providing positive role modeling

The Integrated Security Systems Technician (Traveling) provides customer-focused, workplace technology support to clients, field staff, installation partners, and internal team members. While most support work is performed remotely, occasional on-site assistance may be required locally and nationally.
Supported systems are primarily security-related, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and EAS. Additional support may encompass network programming, fire alarm systems, data infrastructure, AV, and other low-voltage disciplines.
An MTG Integrated Security Systems Technician must deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate strong professional relationships with clients, vendors, Local Service Partners (LSPs), and colleagues. The Selection Process:

The IT Configuration Technician performs a wide variety of tasks including configuring, staging and testing of customer owned inventory being deployed. This requires one to quickly adapt in an ever changing technically diverse environment. High volumes of technical configurations are performed on a daily basis. Development of configuration processes and technical writing are critical components of the IT Configuration Technicians success.
Primary duties include but not limited to:
Configure hardware such as workstations, tablets, POS systems, routers, switches, access points, printers, scanners and any other piece of hardware as required by customers and internal departments
Write, interpret and update technical documents with verbal and visual elements to insure consistent configuration of customer equipment
Interact with customers and internal departments to understand their configuration requirements while fully utilizing and communicating the staging center's capabilities
Coordinate with Project Manager's (PM) & Project Coordinator's (PC) on what materials need to be staged, configured for various projects
Configure components following customer and equipment specifications while maintaining a fluid work flow resulting in accurate work completed quickly
Troubleshoot and repair computer equipment so it can be deployed at customer's location
Research and analyze technical developments as they apply to Comm-Works core business.
Understand and assist with all warehouse functions as needed
Record inventory transactions such as receiving, shipping, and location transfers allowing for accurate and timely receiving, shipping, and inventory reports
Assist with inventory control, cycle counts and physical inventory to retain 99% accuracy
Establish and retain customer confidence
Keep work area clean and organized

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1 year technical schooling or 3 years of hardware and software technical experience
Ability to work unsupervised requiring critical decision making skills
Proactive technical and procedural trouble shooting skills. Understand how changing conditions affect the costs and benefits of various options. Strong ability to define the methods and conclusions of such trouble shooting activities. Identify ways to measure and improve system performance.

The Selection Process:
Applications are open from August -November each year. Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted candidates will typically be contacted for an initial phone screen by the end of November. Candidates selected to move forward will be invited to participate in a virtual panel interview with an identified HR business partner and functional leader. Successful candidates would move forward to an offer. You will partner with the Early Talent team in January to complete a survey that provides a deeper look at your specific interests, strengths & career goals. All specific internship assignments are communicated in February, after aligning based on your specific interests and business demand.
Intern Relocation Assistance:
Polaris offers a relocation program for interns who qualify through our mobility vendor. To qualify for these services your home address must be 35 miles or more from the office where you will be working. Benefits include a lump sum (grossed up to offset tax liability), access to a relocation counselor to explain the resources available to you and aid securing short-term housing available to you. Your responsibilities will include daily transportation to and from the office.
Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor's/master's degree in a related field with an intended graduation date between August 2026-May 2028.
Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
Must be able to commit to a full 12-week internship, working 40 hours per week, within one of the following date ranges:

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $23.00 to $31.50 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime. Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
