Required Qualifications:
Leadership and experience with lamination is highly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience and/or knowledge of ISO and/or quality standards is preferred

We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Supervisor to lead, develop, and inspire a product line manufacturing team while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a transformational leader with demonstrated experience in Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies, adept at using, teaching, and reinforcing SAP-based ERP automation tools, an influential leader of support functions needed to improve manufacturing, and a team builder driven to build cultures of excellence. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient manufacturing flow systems while fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and innovation.
The Manufacturing Supervisor will be accountable for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This role will focus heavily on implementing lean manufacturing principles, identifying and implementing cost-reduction strategies, and improving labor efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Model servant leadership to inspire, foster, and reinforce the Acron values through a culture of agility, accountability, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Lead, coach, and develop assembly and technician team members to achieve safety, quality, delivery, continuous improvement, and cost targets to achieve employee engagement, on-time delivery, and EBITDA objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Training and mentoring manufacturing teams in the use and application of SAP. Manufacturing supervisors are accountable for team development and engagement with SAP tools and data.
Lead daily Gemba sessions to monitor performance metrics, problem-solve variances to goals, and drive corrective actions to achieve product line objectives. Responsible for engaging cross-functional teams, including sales, customer support, engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, and maintenance, to implement corrective actions to issues surfaced in Gemba.
Champion the development, improvement, and reinforcement of employee and leader standard work for all activities in the assigned product line manufacturing cell. Ensure discipline and rigor in the practice of standard work. Work across product lines to harmonize standard work definitions where applicable.
Lead process optimization kaizens every week to develop, improve, and continually reinforce quality system and work instruction documentation. Drive employee engagement by involving teams in problem-solving and decision-making.
Develop, improve, and reinforce the application of performance metric dashboards for all key processes/activities within the assigned manufacturing cell.
Apply Lean tools and problem-solving methodologies to drive operational transformation. Identify and eliminate waste in processes with a focus on AI and automation where applicable.
Develop robust capacity modeling for all functions and shifts within assigned manufacturing cells. Ability to manage system capacity to account for SIOP policy setting through cross-training, flexible scheduling, etc.
Complete job performance reviews, skills enhancements, and provide career development paths for your employees. Perform employee appraisals, recommending merit increases, promotions, or awards, and taking appropriate disciplinary action as necessary.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (minimum 2-3 years in a supervisor or lead role).
Demonstrated success managing and developing teams.
Established results reflecting a rigorous implementation of Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, A3 problem solving, etc.).
Experienced practitioner in SAP ERP and Manufacturing Shop Floor. Ability to train and develop employees in the tool.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
Results-driven mindset with a track record of improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
