Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a GN&C GSI Execution Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You'll Get To Do:
The GN&C GSI Execution Manager will be responsible for providing program and operational execution support to the leadership team within the GN&C GSI organization across every aspect of day-to-day execution. The individual will have responsibility for helping lead a multi-discipline engineering team and assist in guiding all program activities related to design, development, and testing by focusing on delivering solutions, removing roadblocks, and simplifying large complex problems.
The Role:
Support the GSI lead and team in developing and translating the strategic vision into long range plans and short/intermediate-term technical direction to the GN&C GSI organization.

Measure and report program performance utilizing earned value management and other financial tools.
Development and maintenance of program execution metrics
Risk-mitigation planning and execution.

Technical direction, guidance, and mentoring of project team members.
Working programs, proposals, or internally-funded activities in a technical or leadership role.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:

In this role, the candidate would be responsible for the following NH&S scope of work:
1. Design Support for the Command and Launch (C&L) Segment. This encompasses leading a team that supports requirement decomposition and derivation, trade support, and hardness design analysis. This position will facilitate cross-segment integration by ensuring the system design is hardened to the applicable hostile nuclear environments (radiation, electromagnetic, and mechanical).
2. Derivation of the induced hostile nuclear and non-nuclear weapon environment definitions for the weapon system. This will include the radiation, electromagnetic and mechanical free field and induced requirements for all equipment within the C&L and AVE Segments.
The NH&S C&L Design Manager will have the responsibility for delegation of tasks, overseeing the quality of developed artifacts, and leading a team of engineers. The role works closely with program leadership, the technical leaders, and functional subject matter experts within the NH&S Team. This position is a combination of program management and functional (personnel) management.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead a diverse engineering team to execute technical scope while complying with the program schedule and budget.
- Coordinate Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) analysis for facility, infrastructure, and command and control systems.
- Review data deliverables from other teams and subcontractors to include: test plans, test reports, verification methodology, and design analysis reports for hardening of components against requirements on hostile environments.
- Communicate effectively and report regular status to Program Managers, IPT Management, and the government customer.
- Develop and support consistent execution of standard practices, best practices, methods, software and tools across programs.
- Implement lessons learned and continuous improvement plans.
- Lead projects and plans to improve technology, strategic capability, overall design, analysis and production capacity.
- Provide functional management to a team of NH&S engineers. This is includes career development, mentorship, and performance accountability for direct reports.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00
