Environmental Design Group is seeking a qualified ProjectManager to plan and manageprojects. Projects may include trails, roadways, sidewalks, green and complete streets, and active transportation projects for ODOT, LPA, and Non-LPA clients throughout the state of Ohio. ProjectManagers are a key part of our informal leadership structure. They will be expected to mentor junior staff and lead multi-disciplinary teams in the execution of our most complex projects. In the program management organization, projectmanagers will be relied on to support the overall development of projectmanagement capabilities through the functional leadership of day-to-day task execution. Projectmanagers may lead specific functional areas within a larger program or lead the entirety of a smaller program working directly with our clients to provide a premier client experience.
Generally, projectmanagers in program management will pursue job responsibilities in the following areas:
ProjectManagement:
Lead a cross-functional team to execute substation, transmission line, and telecommunication projects from inception through design and construction to closeout.
Oversee 5-20 projects concurrently of varying sizes ($100k-$50M+) and voltages (4kV-765kV).
Manageprojects for schedule adherence identifying risks and requirements to successfully achieve a project's in-service date.
Navigate projects through client gate approval processes including presentations to senior and executive management as required by each client.
Manageprojects for financial adherence maintaining an accurate cost forecast reflecting committed and uncommitted costs for an estimate-at-completion.
Coordinate craft labor resources with client approved vendors for construction, testing and other field activities.
Provide regular status updates on projects by maintaining project data and routine reporting as well as meeting updates for clients.
Lead project meetings with cost, schedule, real estate, environmental, construction and engineering resources to facilitate project execution.
Requirements:
Must have a 4 year Bachelor Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program and min 7 years applicable/relevant experience - engineering design, projectmanagement or a relevant role.
(Do not submit job hopper). Do Not submit manufacturing type of Engineering degree.
(Do NO submit folks with a high school or Associates. Please verify that candidate indeed completed an Engineering Bachelors degree from an accredited program and must be on resume). Engineering internship doesn't count towards the years of experience.

Must have an understanding of state ODOT design criteria, standards, and specifications.
Requirements
Education, Experience, & Licensure:
Registered as a Professional Engineer.
Experience in business development, marketing, and sales skills.
Understanding of ODOT Project Development Processes (Design criteria, standards, and specifications).
Experience working on ODOT, ODOT LAP, and/or municipal roadway projects.
Experience working with ODOT and Communities, such as Cost and Scheduling Engineers, County Highway Engineers, City Managers, DPW, and City/Village Councils.
Experience with Open Roads Designer/MicroStation/Geopak/AutoTurn.

The Associate ProjectManager supports the planning, execution, and closeout of telecommunications construction projects. This role involves coordinating with field crews, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced telecom environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead forecasting, scheduling and actualizing work within SmartSheet, Sitetracker, Arc Pro and other systems as needed.
* Coordinate with inspectors, municipalities, utilities, and internal teams.
* Telecom ROW and other specialty permitting work as needed during the construction phase of the projects.
* Assist with contracts, invoices, and project closeout documentation.
* Ensure projects remain compliant with applicable codes and regulations.
* Liaison between construction and design.
* Answer general questions from the construction personnel regarding permitting and design.
* Forward queries appropriately to the design team for more detailed information.
* Receive and input construction completion information and redlined work.
* Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of work experience in telecom permitting and/or design, project coordinating and administration
* Experience working with municipalities or regulatory agencies.
* Deadline management skills.
* Able to effectively communicate via Teams, Zoom, phone and email.
* Expert knowledge working with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
* Working knowledge of online tracking software such as SmartSheet or Monday.com
* Highly organized.
* Exercise competent judgment and initiative in executing their responsibilities
* Display excellent leadership, planning and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize
* Demonstrate the ability to think pro-actively with excellent problem-solving skills

* 60% In office and 40% meeting with customers, municipalities and ODOT in field. This is not a remote position.
