At Marlin Equity Partners, Dan serves as Executive Chairman of several high growth enterprise cloud software and services portfolio companies including RevenueWell, Skuid and Challenger. As CEO of SpringCM, Dan led the acquisition of SpringCM by DocuSign in August 2018 for $270M, after growing the company to $30M in annual revenue, 675 customers and 190 employees. Dan also serves on the Boards of Directors of SalesHood, the leading sales enablement platform company, and Cohesion, the top smart building technology company. As President of Ensighten, a digital marketing software company, Dan ran customer-facing operations including sales, marketing, and services and grew revenues by 4X in 2 years. For over 11 years, Dan built and led Salesforce sales teams in the central US and nationwide. After joining Salesforce.com in 2002 when they had fewer than 150 employees and less than $50M in annual revenue, Dan helped fuel Salesforce.com’s growth to over 12,000 employees, over $4B in annual revenue, and 150,000+ customers. As a member of the founding management team of Synchrony (sold in 2001 to Divine), Dan was the EVP of WW Sales & Services. Dan’s sales career has also included successful leadership roles at Siebel Systems, Sybase, and Oracle -- all during their IPO and expansion phases.After earning his bachelor’s degree in General Engineering/Computer Science from the Univ. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Dan earned a master’s degree in management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. At the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul Univ., Dan is a frequent guest lecturer. Dan is also an Executive Mentor at 1871, the startup accelerator in the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center. His civic roles include the Cara Program fighting homelessness and poverty in Chicago and Hope For The Day which provides mental health education for suicide prevention. Dan and his wife raised their five children in St. Charles, IL.
