The Team Manager plays a key role in maintaining the daily rhythm, safety, and therapeutic structure of Pacific Quest's residential programs for adolescents and young adults. Working directly in the field, the Team Manager supports guides and residents by modeling professionalism, trauma-informed care, and responsive leadership. This position ensures that daily operations run smoothly and that resident routines align with program expectations and clinical treatment plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Delegate tasks and assign shift roles based on team strengths, risk levels, and resident needs.
Identify performance issues and make recommendations for discipline, promotion, or reassignment.
Exercise discretion in managing behavioral incidents and adjusting routines or staffing in real time.
Act as a liaison with Clinical, Medical, Operations and Administrative teams to maintain consistency of care.
Uphold and model Pacific Quest's therapeutic framework and core values: Professionalism, Health, Connection, and Resilience.
Ensure and role model to direct care staff how to maintain appropriate boundaries, documentation standards, and safety practices.
Document shift notes, incident reports, and resident updates accurately and in a timely manner; review and approve incident reports and program guide shift notes for accuracy and professionalism.
Lead day-to-day shifts by modeling and reinforcing structure, safety, and engagement.
Support new and seasoned guides in implementing therapeutic routines and resident care plans.
Monitor group dynamics, anticipate risks, and maintain a safe, emotionally supportive environment.
Responsible for prioritizing resident safety and supervision
Participate in team meetings and ongoing training requirements, contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning.
Respond to crises in alignment with Pacific Quest's policies and procedures.
Additional duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, behavioral science, or related field.
At least 1 year of experience in a residential or behavioral health program.
Demonstrated ability to lead peers, maintain boundaries, and apply trauma-informed care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be comfortable working in an outdoor, immersive environment with emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth or young adults.
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and EMR systems.
Valid driver's license with clean record.
Must pass pre-employment and ongoing background and fingerprint checks, physical, TB clearance, and drug screening.
WORK SCHEDULE
4-day work week (typically 10-hour shifts); flexibility may be required to support operational needs.
Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required depending on shift rotation.
On-call may be required on a rotating basis.
Must be available for emergencies, shift coverage, and crisis intervention.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to walk and be on foot for long periods in outdoor conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
May require walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs, and participating in emergency situations for safety.

JOB FUNCTION:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Supervises, directs, and monitors workforce activities to ensure safe, cost-effective construction, installation, inspection and maintenance of overhead and underground transmission and distribution facilities. This includes administrative functions such as preparing performance appraisals, conducting interviews, reviewing timecards, etc.
+ Plans, schedules and conducts meetings (including safety, training, informational, etc.) to encourage/foster lines of communication between various levels of the workforce and to maintain, increase and/or improve workforce knowledge and skills; manages performance of employees, trains and develops personnel towards an effective and skilled workforce.
+ Analyzes work packages to establish and coordinate project requirements, works with crew leaders to pre-check, schedule, make appropriate contacts, hold-offs, arrange for tools and equipment etc. and works with customers, internal and external, to satisfy expectations; resolves customer issues and builds constructive relationships.
+ Assists in the planning, initiation, direction and monitoring of all divisional activities and programs to ensure that company/department goals and objectives are achieved.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge Requirements
+ Thorough knowledge of the construction, installation, and maintenance standards and practices of overhead and underground transmission and distribution system.
+ Good working knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution systems.

Maintains good communication with DOH CM, families, clients and providers. Communicates needs and concerns with Case Manager as needed.
Provides coverage/substitute, as needed, when DSW's are not able to work their schedule.
Provides administrative assistance to Program Coordinator and DDD Program Manager.
Provides assistance in orientation, training and individual supervision of direct service workers to assure appropriate/effective instructional strategies, documentation, administrative requirements and necessary skills.
Submits service verification forms and supervision logs in a timely manner as specified in the Rules and Regulations.
Notifies the DDD Program Manager and Program Coordinator, in a timely manner, when there are critical and significant issues occurring.
Schedules consultation sessions with direct support workers as required for the specific individuals. Provides regular supervision and submits required documentation in a timely manner.
Attends all required trainings.
Adheres to HBH administrative guidelines working timesheet and service logs.
Adheres and complies with HBH's Policies and Procedures and with HBH's DDD Rules and Regulations.
Participates in continuing education/training in accordance with the HBH Master Training Plan and Department of Health-Developmental Disabilities Division guidelines.

· Duration of this position is approximately 30 - 45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously during the day.
· Forward bending is also present at the front counter and when stocking ingredients.
