Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting as a top-level troubleshooter, addressing technical considerations, problems, and issues for both internal teams and government stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in STEM field or Highschool and 13 years of experience; Associates and 11 years of experience in lieu of degree, a candidate holding a relevant master's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education, a candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years' experience credit for that extra education.
5 years of position-relevant work experience.

Strong proficiency in scripting and automation, with hands-on experience in Python, Bash, and an infrastructure orchestration tool like Ansible.
Experience in front-end web development to create internal tools and solutions.
Proven background as an Orchestration Engineer or in a similar role focused on building scalable automation services.
Solid grasp of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs.

Nightwing is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Network Support Engineer to join a dynamic, fast-paced program supporting a wide range of quick-reaction requirements. The selected candidate will design, develop, and implement end-to-end IT and network architectures to meet facility-wide operational needs. The IT Specialist will apply strong technical and problem-solving skills to commission, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of computing and networking systems. Working as part of a collaborative team, this role will manage facility networks and provide comprehensive IT support across the campus.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fiber networking and switch configuration, as well as the ability to coordinate with vendors on equipment quotes, procurement, and installation to ensure timely and efficient project execution.

**Key Responsibilities** **:**
+ Install, configure, and maintain **IT and network equipment** across user workspaces and network/DEMARC rooms
+ Perform Tier 1 **system administration** for enterprise networks, connectivity, and associated equipment
+ Support and resolve complex **break/fix issues** both in person and remotely
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and **engage with stakeholders** to determine IT needs for meetings, projects, and deployments
+ Participate in **engineering review boards (ERB)** and technical discussions
+ Respond promptly to **support requests and incidents** , ensuring timely resolution
+ Manage **vendor relationships and project coordination** as needed
+ Install and decommission **CAT6 and fiber cabling (LC/SC)** , including underfloor and above-ceiling runs
+ Provide input on **LAN/WAN design, architecture, and installation standards** following best practices
+ Set up and support **A/V systems** including Extron, AMX, and Crestron technologies
**Required Skills:**
+ Hands-on experience with **CAT6 and fiber installations** .
+ Working knowledge of **LAN/WAN architecture** and networking principles.
+ Broad **IT knowledge** to assess and mitigate potential technical impacts.
+ Strong **organizational skills** and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ **Project management** and vendor coordination experience.
+ **Self-starter** with a willingness to learn new technologies and methods.
+ Ability to **lift up** **to 60** **lbs** and travel as required.
**Desired Skills:**
+ Experience with Cisco network switches, routers, and firewalls;
+ Experienced with new facility fit out and the requirements management to include enterprise and program specific IT architecture;
**Education/Experience Requirement:**
+ College degree strongly preferred or high school diploma plus some advanced training
+ Current certification in at least one of the following areas preferred:
+ CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MSCA), preferably in Microsoft's current Desktop Operating System

About Aviation Electronics, Electrical, and Computer Systems Technicians (AV) work with some of the most advanced aircraft systems in the world. They repair and maintain electrical and electronic systems ranging from radar and communications to navigation and weapon systems. AV Sailors may also volunteer as Naval Aircrewmen, performing in-flight duties and operating radar and weapon systems.
Responsibilities
Depending on your rating (AE or AT), you may:
Troubleshoot and repair complex aircraft systems, including digital computers, fiber optics, infrared detection, radar, and laser electronics.
Maintain electrical power generation and distribution systems.
Test and calibrate aircraft instruments and automatic flight controls.
Perform micro-miniature module repair on circuit cards.
Install modifications to aircraft electronics systems.
Operate diagnostic equipment and read electrical diagrams.
Work Environment
AV technicians serve at sea and ashore worldwide. Work may be performed in hangars, onboard aircraft carriers, in labs, or outdoors on flight lines. Youll work closely with other technicians, often with minimal supervision, in both technical and operational settings.
Training & Advancement
Class A Technical School Pensacola, FL (1826 weeks) Covers aviation theory, electrical systems, electronics theory, and technical skills. After training, Sailors are assigned to AE or AT
ratings and may serve at naval air stations, squadrons, or aboard carriers. Advanced training is available for specific aircraft and systems.
