Position Summary:
We are looking for a technically skilled candidate with good problem-solving ability for the position of FTS Support Technician. The duties of an FTS Support Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries at store level, responding to store's needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties. Additionally, the FTS Support technician will participate in IT projects to upgrade physical technology and secure the environment. Monitor and manage network equipment to maintain both WIFI and network access within the store environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing support to stores in multiple states and responding in a timely manner
2. Accessing ticketing system and provide status updates to resolve tickets within service level agreements
3. Utilize existing technical, computer and electrical knowledge to successfully troubleshoot hardware problems to include, but not limited to installation, upgrading, maintenance, cleaning, and replacement of point of sale, desktop computers, fuel controllers, electronic payment controllers, Digital Media Boards, and telephone equipment.
4. Install and maintain inhouse wiring of both power and network cabling to keep clean and manageable wiring system withing the store
5. Maintain routers, modems, and access points to ensure proper network settings and availability.
6. Use remote access software to assist Helpdesk personnel to troubleshoot the root cause of the issues and provide a timely resolution.
7. Maintain inventory in vans and at office location to provide accountability and access to all equipment. This includes keeping serviceable assets as well as performing RMAs to vendors.
8. Manage administrative duties such as reporting company mileage, credit card expenses, processing RMAs for equipment on company truck
Working Relationships:
The FTS Support Technician will be embedded in a team of FTS Techs supporting a territory of convenience stores. The team works together to communicate common goals and to cover off hours, holidays, and weekends. Additionally, the FTS Support Technician will interact with external vendors to provide onsite support outside of covered territories. Team Members must maintain a professional and trustworthy relationship with store personnel to foster an open and accurate accountability as it pertains to store operations and procedures
Minimum Education:
High School: GED and some technology certification or coursework completed.
Preferred Education:
Associate's degree or Technology Program Certificate Minimum Experience: 2+ years' experience in role relating to computer networks and systems maintenance.

This position will work closely with DARPA's cross-organizational Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI) AFRL team to review, validate, and document approaches enabling revolutionary advances in design, engineering, testing, and evaluation in the domain of fault-tolerant quantum computing and exploring computational workflows that include quantum computing procedures. The primary goal of the QBI program is to determine if any emerging approaches to quantum computing can achieve industrially useful operation exponentially faster than conventional predictions.
Position Details
Salary Range: $75,000-$150,000 annually. The successful candidate's salary will heavily depend on how many position qualifications the candidate meets, in addition to education and experience. This is a full-time exempt position.
Remote performance is expected for this position and Technergetics will consider candidates from across the United States. Regardless of location, a successful candidate can expect to travel to the Washington DC area (DARPA), and Support or Performer sites across the country 10%-40% of any given month. International travel is required for some Performers on this project. Daily activities include frequent VTC meetings and may also require limited/periodic nonstandard work hours to accommodate meetings with team members and Performers across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities and Duties
The day-to-day activities of DARPA's QBI team include performing tasks to identify, select, capture, evaluate, and document the metrics and approaches that DARPA's commercial Performers are developing and applying to build fault-tolerant, utility-scale quantum computers (USQC). The QBI team is responsible for generating and executing plans to assess the timeline, performance and operation metrics, and plausibility of each Performer's technology. Candidates will verify a Performer's ability to build a USQC that operates as intended, and they will document, report, and justify the findings.
The QBI Systems Engineer will apply their expertise as applicable in three typical work categories:
Review and Evaluation
Rapidly digest large quantities of complex Performer-specific technical details, perform relevant independent evaluations, and generate standardized Government artifacts summarizing independent assessments of that material
Evaluate quantum computing architectures, devices, algorithms, and applications including utility and maturity
Identify Performer subsystems and components required to successfully design and construct the system
Discover, develop, implement, execute, evaluate, analyze, articulate, and justify models and simulations at the component, subsystem, and system levels
Assess DARPA and Performer requirements; capture and document the level of maturity of these elements

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing purchase justifications; making presentations to an internal audience; work effectively in a diverse highly skilled team; and interacting positively with upper management.
Independent problem-solving, self-direction.
Strong understanding of all aspects of operating system administration; i.e., configuration of email systems, system installation and configuration, printer systems, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software.
Solid understanding of operating system and server technologies; understands paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts (clustering, logical partitions, metadata).
Solid understanding of the configuration of and virtual environments along with how to maintain them using best practices.
Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; can configure NFS and NIS, windows server domains; can use nslookup or dig to check information in the DNS; understands basic routing concepts.
Strong understanding of active directory (AD), group policies and domain administration. Responsible for maintaining AD add, moves, and changes.
Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (i.e. Tk, Perl, VBScript, a shell).
