IOT Network Technician
This position is focused on a large, vehicle-based IoT deployment throughout the Twin Cities, offering excellent opportunities for advancement and training.
Job Summary & Primary Responsibilities:
As an IoT Network Technician, you will be crucial in ensuring the continuous operation and compliance of a major vehicle-based IoT network.
The required shift for this role is 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Type: Full time.
Expected Hours of Work: 40 hours a week, or as needed to complete job duties.
Remote/Hybrid eligible: no
Physical Demands: Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist. Maximum unassisted lift - 50 pounds, Average lift less than 20 pounds.
Work Environment: Working on large vehicles at site indoors or outdoors, at base for testing.
Maintenance & Calibration: Perform scheduled network maintenance, calibration, routine testing, and inspection of devices according to Client specifications.
Installation: Testing and Deploying new IoT devices on large vehicles.
Troubleshooting & Remediation: Conduct basic troubleshooting, follow-up on remediation activities, and identify equipment failures or system calibration errors.
Reporting & Communication: Ensure timely daily reports and maintain clear communication with team leads/supervisors to promptly address any equipment, hardware, or software issues.
Travel: This role requires 90% daily travel to client sites within the Twin Cities metro area, utilizing one of Procellis Technology's vehicles.
Key Daily Tasks:
Examine and evaluate electronic equipment using diagnostic tools.
Report equipment failures and create corresponding work orders.
Interact with internal teams to pinpoint existing equipment problems.
Assist in the installation and setup of technology services.
Ensure the highest quality of equipment and circuit installations.
Complete all daily required tasks at assigned network locations.
