Institutional Advancement (IA) operates to support student success, build and maintain donor engagement at any level, and efficiently deploy its resources to raise dollars. IA personnel maintain the highest level of transparency and are always available to donors, friends, students, faculty, and Kilgore College staff. In addition to adhering to the Mission of IA, the Scholarship Liaison is also responsible for creating frictionless interactions for donors and creating a life-long relationship with all graduates, students, and friends of the College. The Institutional Advancement Office includes the Executive Director of the Foundation and Community Relations, the Professional Support Assistant/Accounting, Scholarship Liaison, Grant Writer, and the Alumni Liaison. This position enhances the Institutional
Advancement Office's effectiveness by building a strong scholarship program and performing responsible and specialized clerical assistance and administrative support under limited supervision.
Position responsibilities:
Manages all KC endowed, and annual scholarships
Solicits current scholarship donors to increase the endowment and seeks to create new scholarship opportunities per IA goals. Markets new scholarship dollars as per donor comfort
Provides donors annual status letter and communicates with donors regarding other needs of the College. Provides and manages a comprehensive list of scholarship awards, amounts available, and criteria for award to the KC
Scholarship Committee and/or applicable department area if endowed dollars may be used for student support other than through a scholarship award
Manage the Scholarship Management System (SMS)
Is a member of the KC Scholarship Committee
Works with Financial Aid personnel to ensure prompt distribution and content review of student thank you notes to donors
Plans and holds Dual Credit Scholarship Breakfast
Plans and holds two annual scholarship luncheons/events to honor donors
Maintains good record-keeping/database of donors
Provides administrative and clerical support for Institutional Advancement Office, including conducting research and compiling information and preparing presentation manuals, reports, graphs, charts, and publications; responsible for drafting, and/or processing routing, and special correspondence
Gathers information as needed, appropriately posts meeting notices, and prepares meeting packets
Responds to requests or questions in person or on the telephone and refers calls to appropriate personnel
Must be discreet with confidential Kilgore College and donor information
Works on various fundraisers, events, ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings etc. as needed
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Position Requirements:
Earned bachelor's degree, or three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Team player with energy and enthusiasm
Detailed-oriented with excellent time-management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications/record-keeping software
Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Multi-tasking is imperative, and extensive computer skills and technology are a must

Assists with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves). For consumable items, assists in stock rotation, using the first in, first out method and restock outs.
Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products.
Assumes web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders (pick items), delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store).

Communicates in a timely manner the referral source (clinical liaison, discharge planner, medical social worker, clinic nurse) the patients insurance benefits and coverage or non- coverage for services that have been requested for AristaCare Health to provide.
Effectively communicates with insurance companies and their representatives, agency staff, referral source, patients and family the treatment plan that is being proposed by the referral source for the patient to discharge home safely. Explains the options that may be available for a positive financial patient outcome.
Obtains ALL the appropriate authorizations necessary from the patient's insurance provider, then effectively documents ALL the information into the AristaCare Health system. Once authorization has been obtained then the Intake coordinator notifies the AristaCare Health team that the referral is ready to be serviced.
Participates in the Patient “Referral Huddle Process”, collects the AristaCare Health team and reviews each pending referral and the status of the referral and what still needs to be obtained to ensure a viable and safe referral.
Maintains all levels of confidentiality and follows HIPAA Guidelines regarding patient information and all proprietary AristaCare Health information.
Obtains and maintains positive relationships with internal AristaCare Health staff and external AristaCare Health staff.
May assist the referral source when asked in making additional arrangements for any special medical supplies, appliances or nursing services that may be needed for the patient to transition safely into the home setting or the Ambulatory Infusion Suite.
Effectively communicates with Marketing, Account Executives, and Pharmacy Staff with possible promotional and educational programs relating to different insurance plans and any changes that possibly may occur within the Insurance Payor, Medicare, or Medicaid
Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience Preferred:
One year of intake experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the home health care field.
Basic knowledge of the Insurance approval/authorization process.
