Qualifications
* Possession of a high school diploma or GED required.

What You Will Do

Supervisor participates in program development and unit performance improvement. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Role overview & responsibilities
Reporting to the Plant or Site Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for

Position Summary:
Sacramento Valley Walnut Growers is seeking a reliable and motivated Graveyard Sanitation Lead to help oversee the nightly cleaning of equipment, production areas, and facility grounds. This position acts as the point person for the sanitation crew, ensuring that nightly tasks are completed effectively, safely, and in accordance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Graveyard Supervisor in coordinating and directing nightly cleaning operations.
Lead by example and assign tasks to sanitation crew members as needed.
Ensure all sanitation procedures follow SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP protocols.
Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble processing equipment properly.
Use sanitation equipment such as pressure washers, foaming systems, and chemical sprayers.
Monitor and titrate chemical usage, and concentration to verify proper dilution ratios.
Complete basic documentation, such as task checklists, cleaning logs, Titration logs.

Train new sanitation team members on proper procedures and safety practices.
Identify and report food safety or equipment concerns immediately.
Work with Management to create and update SSOPs within the Sanitation department.
Conduct inspections on equipment after cleaning and assign corrections with the sanitation team prior to start of production.
Must be able to drive a forklift, Operate Scissor lifts, and Boom lifts
Must be willing to use a ladder, and work from heights
Physical Requirements:
Stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders/stairs for extended periods.
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Work in cold, wet, and humid environments for long perio
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of sanitation experience in a food processing facility.
Prior experience as a lead or mentor in a production or sanitation team.

Ability to read and follow written procedures and checklists.
Comfortable working in cold, wet, and physically demanding conditions.
