The Supervisor's primary duties and responsibilities are carried out with considerable independence within the framework of established policies, procedures, and guidelines. The Electrical Shop Supervisor is responsible for formulating and developing unit goals and objectives and providing technical assistance and training to assigned staff. Work and results are reviewed through inspection and analysis of records, reports, completed work orders, and equipment and system performance. This position reports to the Associate Director of Plant Operations. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Schedules, coordinates, and supervises the installation of conduits, wiring, fixtures, devices, and equipment typically found on a large University Campus Responsible for maintenance and switching of the campus high voltage electrical system, which includes isolating buildings and cable sections for performing preventive maintenance and making emergency repairs and paralleling feeders through the local utility company.
