C. S. (Scott) Ellard is a hands-on technologist and innovator with over 30 years of experience in parallel processing, distributed computing, relational databases and open system design.While CTO at SAIgnite, compliance and deep analytics in healthcare continued to be an area of intense research and development. Scott is also Chairman and former CEO of Unity Media Group, a company improving engagement across the entire enterprise with a particular focus on analytics in healthcare and education. As founding CTO at Initiate Systems, (acquired in 2010 by IBM), Scott conceived, designed and was principal implementer of Initiate's market leading multi-domain data linking and analytic software for information sharing and correlation. Scott was granted multiple national and international patents relating to the underlying technology as well as being co-awarded the 2009 TechAmerica Innovator's Award for software with Dr. Scott Schumacher, Initiate's Chief Scientist. The software is used in healthcare worldwide by over 2500 institutions and by companies such as Microsoft, Allstate, Humana, Federal Express, CVS, and WalMart as well as many law enforcement and national intelligence agencies.Scott gained in-depth analysis, planning, and development skills during his tenure with Silicon Valley start-ups, Informix Software (acquired by IBM) and Visigenic Software (acquired by Borland). As a consultant, he designed systems for inventory control, reservations, real estate and account and personnel management. His clients included companies such as Hyatt, Sheraton, K-Mart, Coca Cola, Chemical Bank, The Capital Group, Sequent Computers, TRW and Southwestern Bell and most recently Collibra. Earlier Scott was a senior scientist at Independence Technologies, a Silicon Valley start-up specializing in UNIX on-line Transaction Processing (OLTP) systems (acquired by BEA).Scott currently serves as Chairman of ReasonableFaith.org and is a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
