The Operations Manager, Hospitality is responsible for assisting the General Manager, Hospitality with the efficient, professional, and profitable F&B operation of the venue. The Operations Manager will actively supervise, coach, counsel, direct, train and mentor employees in meeting company quality standards, and will independently initiate and authorize all employment actions such as hiring, termination, suspension, discipline, and promotion. The Operations Manager will actively and independently manage all aspects of employee relations to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.
This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule, which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and strong management and independent decision-making skills are required.
This role pays an annual salary of $65,000-$68,000

Responsibilities
Assists in the overall effective management of the catering and concessions operations.
Ensures total compliance with all alcohol service policies. Monitors alcohol service throughout event to assure 100% compliance with Alcohol Service policies. Reports any alcohol service or compliance issues to Spectra management immediately.
Assist in the management of catered and concession events from set-up to tear down, including handling all communication with hourly staff, culinary staff & guests.
Ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the venue.
Ability to review and analyze financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, capital investments, labor and product costs, wage and salary control, P&L financial statements.
Conflict resolution; last-resort mediation; arbitration and labor negotiations, when applicable.
Author, review and amend policies & procedures, as requested by the General Manager.
Author and amend contracts; authorize terms as directed by the General Manager.
Oversee scheduling and labor allocation.
Work in tandem with the General Manager to analyze ticket sales in relation to anticipating staffing needs, target market demographics; determine and project point-of sale to guest ratio.
Evaluate recent historical sales and purchasing data for the purpose of identifying purchasing patterns and accurate cost of goods.
Program and maintain the point-of-sale system to ensure accurate financial reporting, tracking of accountability, and commodity levels by location.
Directs and assists managers in preparing and attaining future goals.
Provides each manager with the proper direction and follows up on all assignments.
Inspects the operation on a regular basis to ensure that the established quality standards are maintained.
Prepares required reports accurately and submits them on time.
Train and develop an effective team.
Reviews and assists in the development of menus and marketing plans with the appropriate department heads.
Establishes and maintains professional relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors and the public that projects the venue in a positive light.
Qualifications
BA or BS with business-related or hospitality management major; (strongly preferred).
Minimum 3 years management experience in food & beverage industry
Minimum 5 years' experience in realm of high-volume banquets, concessions, a la carte restaurant catering, or premium / suite catering experience (or combination of the three)
Previous professional experience with catering sales (strongly preferred)
Previous professional experience working / managing concessions operations (arena, stadium, amphitheater experience strongly preferred)
Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
Ability to make sound business/operations decisions quickly and under pressure.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Solid working knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft office, POS systems, timekeeping systems.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Familiar with inventory cost control and menu planning.

Collaborate with DCL leadership to define business strategies, goals, and performance metrics for island destination infrastructure while serving as an advisor and thought partner lending technical, project management, facility construction, and multi-discipline coordination expertise for port development, island destination, and operations integration projects.
Partner with subject matter experts across DCL and the Disney Experiences enterprise to refine asset strategies (life cycle analysis, reinvestment strategies, etc.) and assess impacts on current and future planning.
Oversee and drive complex program planning outcomes, championing collaboration and facilitation across multiple DCL departments (Maintenance, Technical Operations, Lines of Business (e.g. Island Operations, Food & Beverage, etc.). Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations that communicate planning insights, project status, and strategic recommendations.
Identify and understand project-related impacts on all Lines of Business
Facilitate communication and coordination with local island, shoreside, and global partners to support integrated planning efforts including maintaining integrated schedules for island enhancement efforts with updates from WDI and Operations, monitor trends, and identify risks
Independent contributor that will work with clients, project management and scheduling teams to advance planning through final program reviews which also may include hosting project meetings, develop and maintain project plans, track progress, and document decisions and action plans.
Facilitate and manage the integrated facilities planning (IFP) program review process.
Develop detailed scopes and justifications for near-term DCL island destination projects, ensuring readiness for executive approval.
Lead scope development discussions with DCL stakeholders and subject matter experts and represent key functional areas (Island Operations, Security, Technology, Safety, Recreation, Food & Beverage, etc.) throughout design and construction to ensure projects and facility enhancements meet DCL standards and operating requirements.
Provide leadership and mentorship opportunities within the Operations Integration planning team along with supporting the Sr. Manager, Port Strategy, Development and Operations Integration in serving as an Owner's Representative for third-party port development partnerships and investments and providing general integration support based on organizational needs and priorities.
Leverage planning software and asset management systems to support DCL's Integrated Facilities Planning efforts.
Conduct statistical research and data analysis to inform planning decisions and optimize asset performance.
Provide project development support to other DCL projects, as needed, including process re-engineering efforts and general growth initiatives related to port and island infrastructure efforts.

Responsible for the commercial strategy and development of all Port Adventures across the Disney Cruise Line portfolio of destinations, as well as the overall Guest experience in each port of call. In addition to the commercial aspects of Port Adventure development - including vendor selection, product creation, pricing, and Guest experience - this role must also coordinate operational logistics with the Sr Manager, Port Adventures, Recreation & Attractions Operations to ensure a seamless operation for both Crew and Guests. Responsibilities
Port Adventures
Develop and implement operating budgets for all areas of responsibility. Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
Provide strategic direction in the planning and commercial development of Port Adventures across the fleet for worldwide cruise destinations.
Partner with the Sr Manager, Port Adventures, Recreation & Attractions Operations for all Port Adventure operational needs.
Creation and execution of innovative and personalized Port Adventures worldwide to increase sales, Guest satisfaction and profit
Partner with Itinerary planning department for new port of call development and itinerary planning.
Manage all third-party operator relationships worldwide and verify operators fulfill their contractual agreements.
Handle all tour proposals, site inspections, negotiating, contracting, execution, and maintenance of Port Adventures around the world.
Direct Cruise Activities team for all changes and additions to the online inventory in Seaware for Port Adventures.
Oversee the website advanced booking process and monitor capacity to increase space as necessary.
Strategically leverage any corporate alliance and synergy partners.

Basic Qualifications
10 years' experience in the cruise/tourism industry with an emphasis on strategy, product development, and marketing.
Experienced strategic planner with strong technical skills, analytical ability, sound judgment, and operational focus.
Experience in Luxury Cruise and/or Tour Operator programs.
Deep knowledge of the destinations and expertise in setting up complex destination experience programs.
