POSITION OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Analyzer Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Analyzer Supervisor and is a member of a multi-disciplined crew responsible for all operation and maintenance activities of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and regasification terminal. Dedication, sensitivity to safety issues and compliance with policies and procedures are essential for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the terminal.
This is a DOT position.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The Analyzer Technician is responsible for the following:
Ensure compliance with DOT, FERC, OSHA, USCG, and other governing organizations as applicable.
Maintains the facility recognizing the environmental consequences of actions taken and striving for the highest levels of environmental and safety compliance.
Records maintenance data and informs supervisor of potential problems and failures in a timely manner.
Works with Analyzer/Measurement Supervisor and production team to resolve problems and improve plant reliability and safety.
Performs maintenance and calibration on all gas chromatographs, CO2, H2O, Instruments.
Performs maintenance and calibration on meter skid instrumentation and related instruments.
Performs maintenance and calibration on tank gauging instrumentation and systems.
Trains on environmental, safety, operations, and security procedures.
Performs all duties applying safety protocols and adhering to regulatory mandates.
Diagnose malfunctioning analyzer systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to find the cause of breakdown and correct the problem.
Maintain calibration gases for analyzers.
Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
Must be able to respond to off hour emergencies.
Performs the duties of an Analyzer/Measurement Technician. Working hours and schedule are subject to change based on operational requirements and business needs.
Available to work a rotating shift schedule.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge:
Must understand plant surroundings and can identify relevant equipment. Understand the physical properties of cryogenic processes. Possess basic knowledge of safe handling practices, governmental regulations and related technical and safety codes, standards, and reporting requirements. Must have knowledge of plant rules and guidelines regarding relevant equipment operations, certification requirements, FERC, USCG, DOT, and OSHA regulations. Possess knowledge of plant equipment maintenance protocols, equipment diagnostics, and building construction and repairs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Certifications: High School diploma or GED is required. Formal education in related technical or engineering discipline or related military training/experience is desirable.
Experience:
Technician 3: 4+ years relevant work experience required.
Technician 4: 6+ years relevant work experience required.

The Instrument Technician requires supervision but must also use sound judgment and make good decisions.
WORK CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell type, and write.

Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height and lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors, and be exposed to year-around weather conditions, ocean environment, noise, and occasionally process gases and vapors. There is a considerable number of outdoor activities involved.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Subject to random drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations.
Required to pass regularly scheduled physical examinations mandated by regulatory authorities.
All responsibilities must be met in a rotating shift environment, including holidays, weekends, and nights.
Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
