Essential Functions: * Assesses malfunctions of hardware and/or software applications for the purpose of determining appropriate actions to maintain technology lab, classroom, and assigned computer operations. * Assists in preparing documentation (e.g. reports, instructions, memos, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information. * Assists in scheduling of students, teachers and technical support personnel for the purpose of maintaining technology lab operations. * Assists students and teachers in the use of computer technology, software applications and related hardware for the purpose of maintaining a safe environment that is conducive to learning. * Assists with monitoring the activities of students in the computer lab for the purpose of maintaining a safe environment that is conducive to learning. * Installs computer hardware and software applications (e.g. new computers, peripheral cards, configuring operating systems, printers, etc.) for the purpose of providing and upgrading operational computers and instructional materials for the classroom and lab. * Instructs students and teachers in the use of computer technology, software applications, and related hardware (e.g. video conferencing, presentation equipment, laptops, digital cameras, etc.) for the purpose of enhancing their understanding of technology and its capabilities. * Maintains computer hardware and software applications (local and server based) inventory and password lists for the purpose of ensuring availability of equipment and/or supporting materials. * Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, software and furnishings for the purpose of ensuring availability of items and proper working order. * Performs routine and preventive maintenance of computer lab equipment (e.g. cleaning, virus scanning, creating/clearing Internet bookmarks, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition. * Works with Building Technology Committee in recommending computer hardware and software application acquisitions (including lab design) for the purpose of ensuring availability of instructional materials. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment used in technology lab, classroom and offices including pertinent software applications (e.g. Power school, Power Grade, DS PA's, etc.). KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. About the Role: A Technical Specialist is sought to join Fermilab's Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility (LBNF) and Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) Project team in Lead, South Dakota. The LBNF/DUNE Project is hosted by Fermilab in Batavia, IL, with participation from universities and laboratories from around the world. The project includes the construction of a beamline and near detector at Fermilab and a large underground detector at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. Over the next several years, LBNF/DUNE will design and construct one of the largest proposed neutrino experiments in the world. Under general direction and based on academic training, extensive expertise, and/or experience in a laboratory technical function, the Technical Specialist provides complex technical support for the Far Detector and Cryogenics subproject of LBNF/DUNE. The role includes evaluating and implementing new technologies, coordinating technical operations, and leading technical teams in support of detector installation and operation activities. What your day-to-day as a Technical Specialist at Fermilab will look like: Work one mile underground on a rotating shift schedule (12 hour days with 10 days on and 10 days off, rotating days to nights every two months) A shift differential is paid for second shift. Perform tasks at elevation using scissor lifts and other access equipment. Coordinate and execute the movement of detector components within the cleanroom and cryostat using cranes, hoists, trolleys, winches, and related tools. Support installation of infrastructure for both FD1 and FD2 including network systems, detector safety systems, electronics racks, cabling, and communication systems. Participate in the cabling and electronics testing of all detector components, including testing in cold boxes and in-cryostat systems. Maintain and install mechanical infrastructure such as cable trays and flooring systems. This position is a maximum of 28 hours per week, M-F, based on the clinic needs. The City of Sioux Falls Health Department is seeking part-time Patient Support Technicians to provide customer service to patients. Duties include the ability to schedule, confirm, and register patients for clinic appointments, both in person and over the phone. Verify financial eligibility, third party coverage, collect payments, and answer questions regarding billing. Work closely with clinical teams as directed. Scan and maintain patient medical records, and arrange patient transportation and coordinate access to care and disease prevention. Qualifications and Skills: Well qualified candidates will have experience with customer service duties at the front desk in a health clinic environment and familiarity with an EMR system.
