Minimum: Requirements/Qualifications:
NDT Assistants/Trainees High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; math and print reading skills; ability to used computers for data entry and report writing; Applicants with documented prior NDT classroom training or OJT preferred.
NDT Level II Technicians Meet the minimum requirements of an NDT Assistant/Trainee; provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s); have a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes; ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to report issues and solve problems.
All applicants require the following:
Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Job Description

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.

Technical assistant job in Beaufort, SC
Performs the registration, receptionist and secretarial duties at various imaging areas may perform patient registration and general patient intake as well as patient safety screenings. Validates completeness and accuracy of account information and patient orders. Functions as the focal communication source in this area, dealing directly with both patients and medical staff. Responsible for administrative data entries into the EMR Computer System, as well as various tasks pertaining to the Imaging Services reception area. Communicates a dedication to serving all internal and external customers to include, but not limited to, the medical staff, physician office personnel, patients and all hospital personnel.
Staff member duties may also include:
Transporting of patients: completing the observation worksheet (hand-off sheets) on each patient
Coordinating patient flow with appropriate areas in and out of the department.
Coordinate patient exams with other imaging areas.
Performs various direct patient care activities and procedures under the direction of a registered Medical Imaging Technologist.
Assist with routine and interventional procedures in the Imaging Department.
Independently and effectively prioritizes job responsibilities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment that has multiple demands/requests
Prepares room set up between patients, including proper equipment selection, as directed by the technologist, and attachment on table, putting previous equipment away and changing table and/or room setup
Assists patients on and/or off table or chair when requested by technologist
Completes appropriate training as directed by department safety officer
Use of Imaging Services PACS equipment
Participates in department Quality Improvement activities. Performs in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Adheres to Corporate Compliance initiatives. Maintains high professional and ethical standards as evidenced by successful completion of core competencies, clinical competencies, and behavior standards. Understands that health care delivery is continually evolving, and departmental needs and goals are subject to change, responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the Imaging Supervisor, Imaging Manager, and/or the Department Director.
