Promote safety by following company and site safety policies and procedures, responding to safety non-conformance by coaching to correct behaviors and encouraging and support employees by attending employee safety meetings and recognition of safe behaviors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Drive a team environment based on Safety and Quality. Develop and maintain injection molding processes and related documentation to achieve acceptable quality parts while minimizing scrap and downtime Create a training process for all new and existing processors and mold setters. Communication between tool room and processing group along with the Maintenance department and Engineering on determining root cause repairs. Improve molding floor through equipment repair and upgrades including justification for new equipment Develop specific KPI's for the process team in order to measure success. Ensure team performance is in alignment with established company KPI's. Ability to generate work instructions and document training activities. Help organize and coordinate team workload to achieve production schedule. Help ensure personnel follow established standard work instructions and procedures. Sample and start-up of new molds. Minimum 5-8 years plastic injection molding processing experience. Strong knowledge of scientific molding. Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form. Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Flexibility on work hours is necessary. Ability to recognize and reward good performance. Ability to work overtime during the week and on weekends with little notice. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
