Skills / Experience: Ability to lead, support, and develop highly motivated individuals Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Experience in business development, leading efforts to successfully win projects and develop client relationships Experience supervising engineers and geologists in performing site characterization, foundation recommendations, slope stability, and settlement analyses, etc. Experience preparing geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications for foundations and earthwork for a wide range of projects including transportation, water, commercial, etc. Experience managing project budgets, client relationships, and other project management tasks Experience preparing and presenting technical materials to clients and technical review boards Able to proactively troubleshoot and problem-solve with practical, client-focused solutions Interface with the civil and structural design teams to develop and value-engineer practical, fit-for-use geotechnical engineering solutions Be able to organize priorities and multi-task effectively Collaborate with Area leadership in developing annual business plan, project performance reviews, and personnel management. Possess a thirst to learn and achieve continuous improvement in a team environment Position Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of related experience in a consulting engineering firm or related service business to include a minimum of 3 years experience managing, mentoring and leading diverse geotechnical teams / groups Previous / current experience working on projects in the Pacific Northwest, including Western Washington. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California, Oregon, Idaho, or Washington. Candidates licensed outside of Washington must obtain Washington licensure within six (6) months of hire. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology. Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering strongly desired.
