We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 1st Shift Supervisor to lead our Metal Fabrication operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met, and driving continuous improvement across the department.
Pay: $75,000/yr to $90,000/yr
ProductionSupervisor (Metal Fabrication) job responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the 1st shift team in metal fabrication to meet daily production targets.
Manage staffing, training, and development of team members; foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and production procedures.
Monitor workflow, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and coordinate with maintenance to address equipment issues.
Review production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage attendance, and participate in hiring and disciplinary processes in partnership with HR.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing supervision.
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, 2D drawings, and 3D models.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality assurance practices.
Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
