As a Technical Associate, you will be responsible for the following: RESPONSIBILITIES Operating, optimizing, and maintaining assigned production equipment Meeting and exceeding production standards while maintaining product quality Minimizing and preventing equipment downtime and sustaining budgeted waste levels Maintaining accurate equipment logs and recording downtime and maintenance problems Performing preventative maintenance on equipment Starting up equipment and ensuring accurate functioning Monitoring component inventories and safety guards Maintaining a neat and orderly production environment Monitoring in-process quality and addressing issues as needed Performing required Q.C. checks and process challenges Following safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements Supporting upstream and downstream operations Performing rework as required Working optimally in a team environment ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS H.S. Diploma/G.E.D preferred Maintenance Repair/Mechanical Experience or Proficiency required and 2 years mechanical experience preferred 6- 12 months of manufacturing experience desired Working with PLC's, Hydraulics and Pneumatics desired Must be proficient with basic hand tools. Familiar with the following mechanical components, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valves. Should also be familiar with some electrical components: sensors, photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, VFD's. Able to work autonomously and be self-motivated. Able to work any shift Must have clear and legible handwriting Work Environment: BD is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas.
