GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB The Technology Intern will provide direct technical assistance and support to Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS) staff. Working directly with Analysts, Engineers, Coordinators, and Directors within the Technology Department is essential. Duties include installing and maintaining computer systems, including software and hardware on desktops and laptops, support for interactive panels, assisting with inventory support, providing network printer support, meeting with staff to provide one-on-one technical assistance as needed/requested, information security support, data systems support, and providing training to staff on software and hardware use and cybersecurity best practices. Controls & Integration Support · Collaborate with Controls Engineering to gather documentation for PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and communication protocols. · Package and deliver finalized documentation to Service Sales/Project Managers. 7. Regulatory & Compliance Assurance · Confirm with Engineering that all compliance requirements (UL, CE, ASHRAE, refrigerant regulations, etc.) are fulfilled. · Ensure all technical documentation, certifications, and manuals are updated accordingly. 8. Engineering Change Management · Track and communicate design revisions, schematic updates, and validation requirements. · Coordinate testing, technician training, and service bulletin creation as needed. 9.
