Serve as the technical expert for all after sale service issues involving electronic components for all KNA product lines. Assist dealers to troubleshoot and repair scale and monitor components.
Diagnose and repair electronic scale and monitor components. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of electronic repair parts.
Review and process all warranty claims involving electronic components (i.e.: scales, weigh bars, virtual terminals, etc.). Maintain warranty records (complaints, service calls, and claims) and distribute related reports to applicable departments.
Assist in the investigation of warranty claims by conducting failure analysis of returned components.
Maintain good knowledge of the service and maintenance requirements and field issues of competitors' products similar to electronics in KNA product lines.
Education and/or Experience
An associate's or bachelor's degree in agricultural mechanics or agricultural engineering technology is preferred.
The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, and hydraulics.
Application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), presentation software (PowerPoint), Internet, and e-mail is preferred.

Job Description
The purpose of the Trialing Specialist Technician is to support the Trialing Manager in executing research level yield trials on time, with high precision and accuracy in a safe, compliant manner in order to generate the highest quality data to allow identification of superior performing products in corn, soybean and wheat during the growing season. This position will have a determined break period between the growing seasons (approximately 3 months).
Duties:
Function as an integral member of a team responsible for planting, plot maintenance, spraying, note taking (phenotyping) and harvesting research level yield trial plots.
Operation and maintenance of agricultural machinery, and or agricultural research equipment to include: precision planters, drones, automated phenotyping equipment and research combines
Perform all tasks and behaving in a manner compliant with and in support of all safety and stewardship related company policies and practices, including completing all required company training courses.
Support on tasks in order to achieve the Trialing managers desired results, e.g., assisting the team with field layout, planting, phenotyping, harvest.
Effectively and regularly communicate with peers and supervisors regarding the status of projects, status of work related activities, quality and timeliness of data collected.
Qualifications
A.S. degree in an agricultural related discipline preferred and/or equivalent related experience considered. Candidates with relevant operational training or experience outside of agriculture will also be considered.

A valid driver's license with an acceptable driver's history is required.
Ability to acquire and maintain a federal medical card to operate commercial motor vehicles is required.

Purpose:
Provides agronomic solutions and support for the sale and use of John Deere Agriculture Management Solutions (AMS) equipment. Works with all dealership departments to sell and support precision farming products to producers in their trade area.
Responsibilities:
Leads the organization in the sale of Precision Farming Products offered through John Deere
Knows and uses company provided systems and tools to follow a defined sales process
Manages the adoption of new technology and product offerings
Creates and executes a John Deere Agriculture Management Solutions (AMS) Marketing Plan to educate customers on the different products and services provided by the company
Conducts preseason on-farm customer training as well as in-field start-ups and troubleshooting
Provides support for advanced customer training (including desktop software and data management products) offered through John Deere
Responds to customer inquiries and provides troubleshooting over the phone, through remote support, or in person
Manages customer follow-up processes and customer satisfaction issues related to the AMS product line
Serves as the internal and external dealership technical specialist relative to the entire AMS product line
Identifies, develops, and leads training opportunities to educate customers and dealership employees on AMS products
Job Requirements:
Associates degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience
1+ years of experience in an agriculture-related role
Excellent driving record with a valid driver's license (checked via insurance company)
Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment
Knowledge of database software and computer application systems
Ability to work flexible hours
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
Ability to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a group

Pay Information:
The salary pay range for this position is $50,000 to $90,000. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. Based on factor such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the technical expert for service issues for the assigned KNA product line(s).
Assist as a back-up in resolving dealer complaints or concerns for other products distributed by KNA.
Diagnose, qualify and quantify service and performance issues for assigned product line(s).
Review and process all warranty claims for assigned product line(s).
Maintain warranty records (complaints, service calls and claims) and distribute related reports to applicable departments.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations departments and other assigned factory contacts to develop solutions and implement action plans to solve service issues.
Communicate machine corrections and issues to KNA personnel and the KNA dealer network through Service Bulletins and/or Technical Improvement Programs.
Develop and conduct training presentations aimed at educating KNA employees and dealer personnel on the proper set-up, maintenance and service of current and newly introduced products.
Assist in the development of service instructions for assigned product line(s).
Participate in NPI (New Product Implementation) projects by sharing product issues, concerns, and trends for the assigned product line(s).
Partner with Parts Department personnel to develop and maintain the recommended parts stocking lists.
Review Operator Manuals for product service content and recommend additions or modifications.
Provide input into the feasibility of Special Sales Requests (SSRs) to ensure product can properly be supported in the field.
Maintain knowledge of the service and maintenance requirements and field issues of competitor's products for the assigned product line.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion and conform to all quality and safety procedures.

Education and/or Experience - An associate's or bachelor's degree in agricultural mechanics or agricultural engineering technology is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, hydraulics, welding, and torch cutting. Application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), presentation software (PowerPoint), Internet, and e-mail is also required.
