This role ensures that production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards, while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Production• Lead daily production activities across sheeting, printing, die-cutting, folder-gluer, finishing, tray forming, and RFID application. • Monitor machine performance, staffing levels, and material flow to ensure schedule adherence. • Adjust resources as needed to meet customer delivery commitments (OTTP, OTIF, OTD). • Oversee product quality on all lines, ensuring cartons meet customer specifications (print quality, die-cut integrity, folding/gluing accuracy, labeling).Leadership & Team Development• Provide direct supervision to production operators, material handlers, and support staff on the shift. • Assign job responsibilities, monitor performance, and coach team members to improve productivity and quality. • Conduct shift start-up and handoff meetings to ensure smooth communication between shifts. • Enforce company policies, safety rules, and GMP/AIB/ISO compliance.Safety & Quality• Drive a “safety-first” culture through regular audits, incident response, and corrective action follow-up. • Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality checkpoints, and inspection processes. • Partner with QA to resolve non-conformance issues quickly and effectively.Continuous Improvement & Reporting• Track key shift metrics (downtime, run speeds, waste, labor efficiency, and quality incidents). • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and support company cost-savings initiatives. • Prepare daily shift reports and communicate issues requiring follow-up to management.Qualifications• 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably folding carton, corrugated, or printing/packaging). • Strong working knowledge of production equipment such as folder-gluers, die-cutters, sheeters, presses, tray formers, and RFID application systems. • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable. • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. • Willingness to work flexible hours (2nd shift: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, 3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am).Competencies• Leadership & Accountability - Sets clear expectations, coaches effectively, ensures accountability. • Operational Excellence - Understands machinery, workflow, and production metrics. • Quality Focus - Maintains strict standards to meet customer requirements. • Safety Mindset - Proactively identifies and addresses hazards. • Communication - Ensures alignment across shifts and with management.
