The Shift Team Leader is responsible for team performance, team member engagement, and achieving manufacturing results on a shift-to-shift basis. Must support and exemplify the vision and organizational values of International Paper, Cedar River Mill.
Supports and leads efforts at Cedar River that include an injury-free environment through role modeling safe behavior, active involvement in safety activities and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Coordinates and leads efforts to support high performance work teams.
Leadership role in ensuring team member relations, efforts, and processes are in place to maximize team member engagement and results.
Leads, provides guidance, and/or supports teams as needed to achieve small team goals, daily responsibilities, and overall achievement of mill goals.
Manages daily shift operations
Active shift leader, responsible for short-term (shift-to-shift) mill performance and long-term performance of small teams.
Provides feedback, coaching, support and, when necessary, take corrective measures, to ensure all team members have a positive, productive, and safe work environment.
Communicates as needed with team members and mill leadership for resolution of safety, quality, cost, production, and personnel issues.

Assists other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
