    The Role: The Die Group Leader will be responsible for leading a team in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of dies and related mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, machine schematics, and various machining processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Lead and supervise a team of die technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Interpret complex blueprints and machine schematics to diagnose and troubleshoot die malfunctions and mechanical equipment issues. Oversee and actively participate in the repair, maintenance, and modification of dies, fixtures, and other mechanical equipment. Apply expertise in various machining processes (e.g., milling, grinding, turning) to repair and fabricate die components. Ensure all repair and maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with company standards and procedures. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for die performance and longevity. Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory of die components. Conduct regular inspections of dies and mechanical equipment to anticipate and prevent potential failures. Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to: Work in a loud manufacturing environment that may not be climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold) Possess good physical stamina and coordination to frequently and repetitively: Bend, twist, kneel, crouch and reach to perform work Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
