+ Assist with investigation of unsafe acts/conditions, ergonomic incidents, and injuries.
+ Coordinate committee meetings- such as safety committee, ergonomics team, first responder team and haz-mat team among others.
+ Assist in the communication of safety to employees through group meetings, conferences, orientations, newsletter, etc.
+ Follow MFEPC Safety Policies as well as OSHA regulations to help enforce safe work practices.
+ Compile data and generate reports by entering data into computer, determining information to include in reports, verifying data and distributing reports to appropriate parties.
+ Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
+ Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
+ Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**

Job DescriptionWe are seeking highly motivated Feed Interns at our Vernon Center, MN location for the summer months of May to August. Our internship experience will offer valuable insight into the livestock feeding industry through mentorship and real-world experiences.
Pay: $16-18/hour, overtime after 40 hours
Five Key Roles:
Learn from Crystal Valley's Experienced Staff
Work alongside management, operations, and sales to learn all aspects of the livestock feeding industry
Learn the complete feed manufacturing process from receiving of ingredients to the delivery of feed
Understand and ensure compliance with bio-security procedures and controls
Provide First Class Customer Service
Provide superior service to existing customers and make calls to potential new customers
Understand and create feed ration formulas
Assist in creating feed budgets and nutrition plans for customers
Assist with livestock sourcing
Engage in Real Life Work Experiences
Understand inventory management
Learn forward contracting of feed ingredients
Learn the ingredients souring and purchasing process
Assist with the receiving, loading and delivery of bulk and bag feed
Attend Internship Networking/Development Opportunities
Attend training, professional development and continuing education opportunities
Attend all feed team meetings
Sharpen your professional development/soft skills

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver's license

Ability to obtain seasonal CDL
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Animal Science or other Agriculture related degree program
Agricultural or Ag retail background preferred
Desire to serve livestock producers, agribusinesses and others involved in the agriculture industry
Willingness to work long hours to serve our customers
Basic equipment operation skills
Must get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform (GWC)
