Summary
The Shelter Custodial Lead is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the New Life Center while providing oversight, guidance, and training to shelter guests who are assigned to daily cleaning or maintenance chores. This role combines hands-on custodial work, light duty maintenance, and leadership responsibilities to ensure that both cleanliness standards and guest participation goals are being met.
Essential Responsibilities
Essential Function 1:
Custodial Duties
Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned by the facilities manager including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, trash removal, restroom cleaning, etc.
Maintain floors, windows, and surfaces in a sanitary and presentable condition.
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and hygiene items throughout the shelter.
Monitor custodial supply inventory and order as needed.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and address custodial needs promptly.
Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment and use proper lifting techniques.
Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in an orderly condition.
Assist with and help direct volunteer groups with various projects.

Benefits and Compensation
Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000

Job Description
Responsible for training new and current staff on all duties. The Lead Groundskeeper is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all grounds and properties to provide a safe, attractive outdoor environment. Performs necessary repairs and maintenance services and installations of equipment to promote a safe environment. Oversees parking lot repairs, such as cold patching/asphalt repairs. Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and instrument manuals preferred. Ability to identify different species of plants.
Qualifications
Trade school or vocational school with courses in landscaping, horticulture, forestry or park management desired.
Three years experience working in ground keeping required.
May require applicable State Commercial Applicators License and/or Certification. May require Commercial Driver's License (CDL) drivers license, Class B, including Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification. If CDL is required, and does not possess at time of hire, must obtain both within six months. Valid driver's license required. Must maintain a good driving record.
