This is a direct opportunity with a client that is rapidly growing. The Legal Specialist will negotiate and review contracts for over 90 current and new suppliers. You will be responsible for contracting the supply chain for a new large program. You will also need to finalize a similar number of other agreements / reduced version T&Cs (circa 150+ agreements, circa 800 parts). By early 2026, concurrent engagement with all suppliers will be necessary. A dedicated, senior legal lead is needed to manage negotiations and contracts, with minimal oversight. The lead must be based in the US time zone to maximize supplier engagement. Drafting and negotiating the series supply agreements, tooling agreements and other commercial agreements. Dealing on a day-to-day basis with suppliers and their legal advisors. Securing key supply chain arrangements, including to support project timelines. Managing and reporting internally on progress of supply chain arrangements. Liaising with PP procurement team to achieve the above. Requirements Qualified as a US lawyer (Michigan or similar US state); Must be comfortable taking responsibility for analyzing and weighing competing factors and making independent judgements relating to commercial agreements Previous experience at senior level in a law firm or in-house legal team (upwards of 7+ years post qualification or equivalent legal experience). In-house experience would be advantageous, particularly in a Tier 1 or major Tier 2 company. Experience of any of the following areas would be advantageous: manufacturing, plant and equipment, automotive, tooling and long-term parts supply.
