The Sr. AD, Regional Sales - Rheumatology is responsible for the overall Rheumatology Sales Team within the assigned geography in the US focusing on Rheumatologists. This includes the development of the regional level business plan and implementation of the BIPI sales/marketing plan to assure optimal market penetration of BIPI and co-promoted products within BIPI guidelines, policies and directives. The Sr. AD has a very high working knowledge of markets across the region, commercial key accounts, public and private payers and national account influences. She/he will continuously maximize the use of key company resources and budgets to exceed sales targets and appropriately position Boehringer Ingelheim within the Rheumatology market. The Sr. AD also ensures equal and consistent application of established policies and procedures in the management of employees to meet or exceed sales goals.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Recruits, leads, and coaches a team of 7-10 territory sales consultants, to ensure that regional sales performance meets or exceeds annual company sales and market share objectives.

+ Executes a process for implementation and quarterly measurement of the regional business plans.
+ Monitors payer environment and has in-depth understanding of the processes and mechanisms for influencing ILD treatment guidelines through Local, Regional and National pathway companies.
+ Anticipates how payers integrate pathways into treatment guidelines and develop actionable regional plans which will maximize product penetration.
+ Initiates managed care planning process with stakeholders in proactive way to ensure access.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree required; MBA degree preferred.
+ Minimum of seven-plus (7+) years successful pharmaceutical sales experience, including three-plus (3+) years leading a sales team in specialty required.
+ Track record of building high performing teams and working in a cross functional matrix environment.
+ Requires at least one (1) year prior experience demonstrating acct. management, leveraging HUB services, collaborating with PaCE & specialty pharmacies, supporting reimbursement navigation, working individually outside a "pod" structure, fostering market development, regional Key External Expert (KEE) engagement & relationship management, linking KEEs with appropriate internal stakeholders, fluency in the inner networking & navigation of teaching institutions.
+ Excellent communications, objective setting, and influencing skills.
+ Ability to travel - including overnight travel (inclusive of some weekend programs), approximately 10- 50%, depending on geography.
+ Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
+ Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and data base application.

Build value throughout the call, update client records, and pitch three branded apparel and commemorative books offerings on every call. Light fundraising and donation collection.
Close with confidence - tackle objections, deliver strong rebuttals, and ensure every client walks away impressed.
Coaching and Training:
Participate in ongoing coaching and training to stay updated on product knowledge, campaigns, and sales techniques, and share best practices.
Independent Sales Activities:
Work autonomously from your home office to handle inbound leads and make outbound calls to prospective clients. Self-directed coaching is required.
Feedback Loop:
Actively seek feedback from your leaders, sales team, and peers to continuously improve the quality of service and address growth areas.
Accountability and Attendance:
Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality to ensure consistent coverage to care for our clients by keeping your commitment to your schedule, breaks, lunches, and meetings to optimize team collaboration and workflow.

This position is remote; however, the employee must reside permanently in one of the following states: AL, AR, FL, GA, KS, MI, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, or VA.
Minimum 1 year of total work history - professional sales experience or 4-year college degree (preferred).

Scheduled one-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks daily.
Monday - Friday, offering full-time shifts only.

Position Summary:
This position is a field-based, business development, hands-on clinical sales position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be a patient advocate, and positive representative of VieMed. This position is responsible for identifying & initiating one-on-one dialog with new potential referral sources and maintaining positive relationships with existing referral sources. They will leverage their clinical and sales expertise to design/develop cutting edge sales strategies to drive VieMed's disease management program and respiratory products to new market potential to grow the business within the assigned territory.
The candidate will spend most of their time (80% or more) in the field: networking, building relationships, and educating referral sources* within the hospital on all the benefits of VieMed's disease management program will improve the lives of their patients with Chronic Respiratory Failure. Hospital Referral Sources: Pulmonologist, Hospitalist, Critical Care Physicians, Case Managers, and Social Workers.
Essential Sales Duties and Responsibilities:
* Market VieMed's disease management program to potential and existing referral sources
* Develop sales territory action plans and call strategies to maintain ongoing business with current accounts and apply working knowledge of clinical, consultative, and strategic selling skills to drive new market potential to grow the business within assigned territory
* Coordinate and provide educational presentations and in-services for healthcare providers
* Responsible for account activity, sales documentation, reports, and territory management
* Partners with all clinical, managerial, sales staff, and other internal departments within to promote and market our home respiratory therapy services to all referral sources to drive sales growth
* Works with the office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services, including providing adequate information to satisfy third-party payor guidelines for coverage
* Required to provide availability for patient contact and response to patient needs
* Maintain a level of performance that meets or exceeds the sales quotas
* Other duties/projects as assigned

* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external referral sources geographically located within assigned territory

Requirements:
The qualified candidate:

* Must be well-connected and have established relationships with the Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Hospitalist physicians within the territory (required)
* Must be able to provide three informal letters of recommendation from Pulmonologist (required)
* Must have a current, valid, active state driver's license with a clean driving record and own reliable transportation is required
Sales Experience:
* A proven track record of successful sales experience in a health care setting, and experience working with physicians, nursing management, discharge planners, case managers, and social workers
* Two or more years demonstrated full life cycle healthcare sales experience from lead generation, educating the referral source, persistent follow-up, and follow through on all leads, issues, and success stories
* Two or more years of experience as a Clinical Liaison, preferably within the LTACH level of care
* Previous marketing and/or LTACH marketing experience
* Previous clinical/clinical liaison experience preferred with demonstrated skills in clinical patient assessment
* Formal sales training preferred
Preferred Licensure & Education:
* The preferred applicant would be a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse with Adult Critical Care experience with business development/physician marketing experience or have a proven sales record in the local Home Medical Equipment market
* Clinical Licensure Preferred (RT, RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, LPN)
