    The incumbent works in conjunction with the Cardiovascular Information Systems Clinical Coordinator, unit managers, and area director. The incumbent may also work with Biomed, Diagnostic Imaging, and Information Systems as needed. The role encompasses image management, staff and physician documentation, reporting, and support reporting. Inventory and billing support will be integrated into the role. On-call availability for support of the system will be necessary. Education: Associate's degree in a relevant clinical field Experience: Four years of clinical experience in a related field with two years of experience as a licensed cardiovascular technician in a catheterization or ultrasound cardiovascular lab or in a hospital information technology role focused on clinical systems or picture archiving / communications systems Skills: Strong leadership and analytical skills Proficient in advanced computer skills Oral and written communication skills Maintain daily operations of the catheterization lab information system as a focus while providing support for non-invasive cardiology and other services as assigned. Works cooperatively with staff in maintaining the operability of the system Assists clinicians with documentation and template changes. Maintains working knowledge of all divisional systems Supports inventory management and/or billing in the Catheterization Lab as needed. Facilitate implementation of workflow changes and functionality, database, and interface maintenance, reporting by all clinicians, system testing, and routine audits and system training for all end-users Audits documentation for accuracy and completeness. Provides system reporting to support clinical improvement efforts. Recommends process improvements to ensure accurate documentation and efficiency. Assists with clinical database needs through template and documentation changes. Assists with all interfacing to other systems and users. Provides training to all end users on an ongoing basis. Interacts with hospital personnel and physicians to build and support cardiovascular application systems. Supports clinical application implementations and upgrades.
