ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operates, sets-up, adjusts, changeovers/troubleshoots and repairs/maintains all departmental production equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Tempering ProductionSupervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for supporting organizational objectives through effective production planning, scheduling, and the safe execution of daily manufacturing operations to meet customer demand. This role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills, consistent execution of production plans, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safeguard the company's brand, facility, team members, and assets by ensuring adherence to all safety and security protocols.
Supervise, train, and develop tempering operators to ensure compliance with safety standards and the consistent production of high-quality products.
Provide effective leadership to ensure team members demonstrate strong technical skills, accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Oversee and execute daily facility opening and/or shutdown procedures in accordance with established guidelines.
Maintain accurate inventory levels of tempering materials required for equipment and production; communicate inventory needs to the Plant Manager in a timely and proactive manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments and the Plant Manager to establish daily and weekly priorities and adjust work schedules to meet production demands.
Lead daily team meetings with tempering personnel to communicate production expectations, updates, and requirements.
Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress to ensure successful completion.
Provide timely, constructive, and accurate feedback regarding performance, disciplinary matters, material shortages, quality issues, and equipment concerns as needed.
Prepare and present prior-day production data for Daily Operations meetings, including detailed insights when required.
Foster and maintain a safe plant-floor environment that promotes safe work practices and supports the proper operation of the tempering process; serve as a visible and proactive Safety Leader.
Partner with Human Resources, the Plant Manager, and team members to address employee relations matters and performance concerns.
Perform additional duties or support other departments as required to meet business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities; tempering experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using FeneVision or a similar ERP system.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining high levels of productivity, including flexibility to work extended hours when business needs require.
Strong attention to detail with proven abilities in organization, analytical and critical thinking, decision-making, quality control, and team leadership/coaching.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operates, sets-up, adjusts, changeovers/troubleshoots and repairs/maintains all departmental production equipment.

Performs preventative maintenance on the equipment as specified in the PM program or as needed for smooth operation.

Turns on machines and ensures proper functioning of machines and control panels.
