Duties/Responsibilities
Ensures we meet 100% SLA daily.
Supervises the daily workload, employees, and the daily workflow from setup to completion. Collaborates with leadership to ensure adequate coverage and disbursement of work across the team.
Responsible for onboarding new hires and providing ongoing employee coaching and training. Identifies employee gaps and executes performance improvement plans to resolve them. Determines cross-functional training limitations and expands the team's capabilities to reduce business risk.
Proactively communicates with team members (including direct reports, peers, and management) and provides honest, thoughtful, and constructive feedback. Escalates employee issues to leadership and Human Resources.
Assists in printing, inserting, metering, folding/cutting, inbound mail scanning and handwork activities to meet service level agreements.
Adheres to standard operating procedures in all operations and activities.
Initiates the investigation of production issues and works with leadership to resolve and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Monitors and enforces safety requirements and is an active member of the Safety Team
Ability to fill in for leadership as needed.
Maintains a neat and orderly facility, conducts periodic inventory counts, and monitors stock levels and reorder points.
Acts as liaison between production operations and client services team.
Organizes incoming work for printers and inserters, pulls and stages materials for operators, manages changes and expedites on jobs in production, completes quality signoffs on print production before and after insertion.
Creates, monitors and follows IT and machine maintenance tickets through to completion to maximize throughput and uptime.
Oversees dropout and reprint processes to ensure proper reconciliation on all mailings.
Prepares mail for nightly pickup.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to manage significant workload while producing quality work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and deadlines.
Experience leading production teams in a high-volume transactional environment.
Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Highly skilled with computers and technology (especially Microsoft Office), with the ability to adapt to new software and systems

Education and Experience

Develops recovery plans and adjusts schedules according to production progress, change orders, and other delaying conditions.
* Responsible for ERP data integrity by maintaining MRP, product masters, on-hand inventory balances, Bill of Materials, Routings.
* Reviews Manufacturing Orders for labor and material cost accuracy. Evaluates material usage and initiates BOM changes and process improvements as needed. Works with Finance and Operations on material and labor cost deviations.
* Support the continued progression a factory planning model and to regularly suggest and implement continuous improvement ideas that improve work processes and manufacturing performance against metrics.
* Works across with various levels of management and functional areas including Operations (management, supervisors, and production associates), Commercial team, and Engineering to address issues and to improve overall on time, quality, and financial performance.
* Supports organizational reporting activities.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Technical or equivalent in a related discipline preferred.
* 2-10 years' experience of production planning/scheduling, buying/planning or supply chain management preferred.
* Strong Working knowledge of ERP systems. Experience must include using the system as part of the job function, how to extract data, and how to maintain data integrity in the system.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to establish and maintain positive relationships across the organization.

Job Summary and Objectives:
The Material and Production Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials and production schedules to meet customer demand and organizational goals. This role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring material requirements, production activities and inventory levels to optimize supply chain performance and minimize cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain material requirement plans for sales forecasts, production schedules and inventory targets. Manage safety stock levels/re-order points and adjust plans to prevent material shortages or excess inventory. Use formal systems, such as DelmiaWorks ERP, to plan the production process from start to finish.
- Partner with NextPhase customer service, manufacturing, and engineering to provide rough-cut capacity planning for both current demand and future forecast.
- Have full understanding of customer contracts.
- Work closely with NextPhase supply chain to ensure material availability prior to scheduling work orders in manufacturing.
- Create and update production schedules to align with customer orders and capacity constraints. Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks to maintain on-time delivery.
- Partner with logistics to ensure that products ship on time and arrive on time at customer and sterilization sites.
- Track effectiveness and recommend improvements and solutions.
Optimize execution of internal work orders to achieve schedule adherence, and customer on-time delivery goals. Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas to reinforce reliability of delivery using LEAN and Six Sigma techniques.
- Work with suppliers and NextPhase buyers to identify and optimize reliability of supply and information to support manufacturing and business objectives.

Required Qualifications and Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience required
Minimum of 5 years' relevant planning experience in manufacturing industry, with 2 additional years in a medical field, or other highly regulated industry
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships at all levels of the organization, to further the goals and advancement of the department's objectives
Proficiency with planning and scheduling systems, ERP/MRP systems, and inventory management techniques.
Demonstrated ability using LEAN tools and concepts

Responsibilities
+ Effectively create a comprehensive master production schedule which considers order fill, water supply, preventive maintenance, sanitation, and line load opportunities daily

Qualifications You Must Have:

In absence of a degree, High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or closely related industrial environment
