FTE: Part Time (.6 FTE; 24 hrs/week) Shift: Nights The 5300 Medical-Surgical Renal/Pulmonary Unit at TriHealth Bethesda North is a 43-bed unit specializing in the care of patients with renal and pulmonary conditions, including COPD exacerbations and dialysis complications. Our diverse patient population provides a dynamic environment that allows nurses to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment. We are committed to creating a positive learning atmosphere for both new graduates and experienced nurses. Our team focuses on professional growth, mastering essential skills such as peritoneal dialysis, time management, and delivering compassionate patient care. Nurses on 5300 gain valuable experience and expertise while working alongside a supportive and collaborative team. Nurses are equipped with significant technical knowledge related to the respiratory system, the ability to detect aberrant respiratory functions through auscultation, and a deep understanding of renal clearance and medications. Our team is skilled in interpreting lab values and applying them to patient care, helping to ensure the best outcomes for patients with complex medical needs. Our unit encourages and supports nurses in obtaining professional certifications, including Medical-Surgical (MED-SURG), Geriatric (GERO-BC), and Certified Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse (CPDN).
