About The Role
As Head of CX, you'll own the full customer journey, from first contact through lifelong retention, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our promise of care and trust. Responsibilities

Lead and inspire the CX team to deliver best-in-class service and results.
Set department goals, forecasts, and KPIs aligned with company objectives.
Prioritize initiatives that have the greatest impact on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Operational Excellence
Ensure the team is appropriately staffed, trained, and scheduled to meet quality benchmarks.
Measure and report performance across key metrics, including hold time, first reply time, customer effort score, CSAT, inbound/solved ratio, negative reviews, and cost per ticket solved.
Build and maintain clear, repeatable systems and resources that enable efficient work:
Up-to-date training materials and knowledge bases
Effective macros, scripts, and talking points
Simple, well-documented SOPs
Context sharing from other departments to improve coordination
Customer Advocacy & Insights
Act as the voice of the customer across the organization, identifying trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement of customer and employee experiences through data-driven analysis and collaboration.
Serve as the final escalation point for complex or sensitive customer issues, resolving with empathy and professionalism.
Engage directly with customers across channels when needed to model excellence and stay close to the experience.
Innovation & Automation
Design and implement solutions that reduce inbound volume by addressing root causes and improving processes.
Leverage automation, AI, and improved workflows to streamline response time and enhance quality.
Continuously optimize self-service tools, help center content, chat prompts, macros, and training materials to empower both customers and agents.

About You

Ensure completeness and accuracy of bibliographic and item records through original and/or copy cataloging with the use of cataloging software.
Deprocess damaged library materials and maintain reports for deleted items.
Evaluate, clean, and create reports of library materials with infestation.
Fill out asset disposition forms for surplus of inventory materials.
Updates inventory records as needed. Travel to various library locations to assist library staff with surplus materials or inventory of programming/office supplies.
May verify the accuracy of funds that accompany daily deposits from all library locations, and prepare documentation for the purpose of reporting to the City Treasurer and Finance Department.
Manage library supplies to be distributed to other library locations.
When Working in the Makerspace:
Makerspace Specialists demonstrate the creativity, curiosity, and collective knowledge of the 4th Floor Makerspace.
Stays on top of current trends in maker technology and equipment, as well as educational trends to incorporate into hands-on, accessible public training.
Trains on how to maintain and demonstrate makerspace equipment and software. Learns and maintains proficiency in complex technical systems through formal and informal training methods.
When Working in the Local History Department:
Ensures broad access to unique collections by participating in digitization efforts, including scanning collection materials and generating metadata according to established standards and specifications, and working with content management systems to maintain and deliver digital content.
May provide support for collections accessioning, processing, and cataloging activities.
When Working in the Outreach Department:
Must be willing to complete training for and operate City Designated Vehicles including the Pop-Up Library van. Support outreach requests that include, but are not limited to, the following: Library Resource Presentations, Off-site Programs, Event Tabling, and Pop-Up Library services.
The Outreach LSS will be responsible for supporting outreach requests as assigned by the Outreach Coordinator. This may include attending outreaches without another staff member, depending on attendee expectations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED and at least four (4) years of any combination of relevant education, training or experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job will be considered.
Preferred experience for Library Service Specialist positions include one to two years serving the public, working with children, in ordering and cataloging materials, instructing the public in the use of makerspace equipment, and creating and delivering library programming.
Depending on the assigned area, must be qualified to become a passport agent within six (6) months of hire.

General Summary:
This position is an entry level position within the Financial Recovery Unit (FRU). The incumbent is responsible for communicating a previously calculated overpayment or completing simple overpayment calculations from the available file information. The Client ServicesRepresentative will provide administrative support by handling information requests, assisting our partners, preparing correspondence, scanning and processing tax returns, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with client billing monthly

Qualifications:

General Summary:
This position is an entry level position within the Financial Recovery Unit (FRU). The incumbent is responsible for communicating a previously calculated overpayment or completing simple overpayment calculations from the available file information. When the overpayment has been determined and the file documented, the incumbent works directly with the claimant, advocate or employer, primarily on the phone, to ensure that overpayments are recovered timely and in accordance with the specific policy language.
This is a highly goal-oriented role; the incumbent is responsible for significantly contributing to the unit's overall recovery results.
The file complexity is restricted in scope and the incumbent will be expected to effectively administer and recover overpayments on multiple products and systems (Group STD, Life, and VB - Unum and Colonial) and may be expanded based upon department needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Analyze content of claim file and obtain the necessary financial and benefit information (that may not be immediately apparent) from colleagues, customers, and external resources to determine appropriate course of action on each file.
* Consistently communicates, handles overpayment calculations and manages a caseload of claims with limited complexity, demonstrating a solid technical ability necessary to administer overpayment claims across multiple products and system applications.
* Negotiates and binds the Company with respect to decisions made regarding appropriateness of pursuing overpayments (generally lower amounts than the Financial ServicesRepresentative (FSR) role.)
* Thoroughly and accurately documents and codes FRU actions in claim and legacy systems with supporting rationale for actions and next steps.
* Secures a professional relationship with the claimant and/or employer, provides excellent customer service, demonstrates empathy, and remains open to new information. Provides prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customers to promote the Unum brand.
* Partners with Lead FSRs by reviewing team worklists to ensure workloads are appropriately assigned. Participates in special projects and other assignments as needed.
* This position may also include some administrative duties in support of the team.
