Duties and Responsibilities: * Secure maximum market share and sales dollars consistent with established sales policies and programs. * Solicit new accounts and dealers and develop market strategies. * Maintain direct personal contact with all assigned accounts and foster relations with new ones. * Take proactive approach to sales development and problem solving. * Resolve customer relations problems and issues with clients within a timely manner. * Serve as a host at dealer meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive trips and all other similar functions. * Participate as requested in home product shows, utility sponsored events, industry associations, etc. Attend, when necessary, training classes to acquire the skills to meet our customers' needs and expectations and to keep abreast with technical developments and changes in product lines. * Conduct him/herself in a professional and courteous manner in all aspects of interaction with contractors, customers and employees. * Perform other duties as assigned. In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: * Minimum 2-4 years sales experience within the HVAC industry. * Proven work history in the sales and marketing arenas with proficiency in air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level. * 2-4 years of experience in residential and commercial contractor relationships. * Proven success in sales, marketing, operations and leadership roles. * Proven success in establishing and meeting sales goals. * Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service are absolutely required. * Ability to analyze sales and market data. * Ability to give quality presentations. * Ability to work independently, but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames. * Must possess the attitude of wanting to learn, teach and lead. * Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Ensure best client service is being made available through communication amongst the team, cross training within the department and appropriate office coverage. Works with sales managers to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segments. Works with management team to create and implement a sales plan (i.e. 30-60-90-day plan). Follow and track company cross-sell procedures. Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external. Updating and owning the sales strategy & sales plan with the General Manager(s). Use company-wide tools, systems and applications without exception Leads on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives. Maintain organized and accurate filing system on all accounts, including complete file on each active prospective or buying account, and trace file for future activities. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with service standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. Requirements Position Overview The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory by developing, servicing, and supporting welding/gas, and industrial distribution accounts. This role focuses on executing strategic sales initiatives, expanding market share, maintaining strong customer relationships, and effectively representing Forney Industries' Industrial Pro product line. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Territory Management & Sales Execution Achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance objectives. Plan, organize, and execute sales activities to grow territory revenue and account penetration. Develop new distributor relationships and expand business with existing accounts. Utilize CRM tools to record, track, and manage sales opportunities, SSOs, leads, activities, and reporting requirements. Customer Relationship Management Maintain and develop long-term relationships with welding/gas and industrial distribution personnel, including decision-makers and key influencers. Conduct regular account reviews to understand customer objectives, strategies, and business needs. Provide timely communication and coordination across customer-related activities. Product Demonstrations & Training Present and demonstrate Industrial Pro products to distributors and end users. Deliver product training related to welding, cutting, and grinding applications. Participate in joint sales calls with distributor sales teams as required. Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with sales leadership, product management, and internal teams to support customer initiatives and territory needs. Provide market feedback regarding competition, product performance, and channel opportunities. Industry Engagement Participate in regional and national trade shows, distributor events, and industry meetings. Maintain active visibility and physical presence within the assigned territory. Reporting & Administrative Compliance Complete required documentation, including expense reports, CRM updates, sales budgets, and other reporting obligations accurately and on time. Manage territory expenses in accordance with company policies. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial sales experience. Welding or gas industry experience is strongly preferred. Proven history of achieving or exceeding sales quotas. Experience developing and executing account strategies. Technical Skills: Working knowledge of welding and cutting processes and products (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, PAC, Oxy/Fuel, grinding). Ability to speak technically with distributor personnel and end users. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote). Experience with CRM systems required.
