At least 3 years of full-time law enforcement experience prior to SRO assignment. Completion of the MDE - SRO - Basic Course within two years of appointment OR the National Association of SRO (NASRO) Basic School Resource Officer Training plus eight hours of MDE state specific content training. Clear background check. Clear drug test. *Completion of the Police Officer Basic Course (Reserve Basic is not acceptable).
