RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:
Occasional mandatory travel required for training and development purposes.
Order food, following Bickford's process, in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Ensure appropriate information is available to produce meals (i.e., production sheets, recipes, prep/pull sheets, week's extension menus, week-at-a-glance menus).
Prepare meals following Bickford's menus, processes, and expectations.
Serve food timely, at correct temperatures and appropriately plated.
Ensure Bickford's process is followed during meal service.
Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience.
Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
Utilize residents' Meal Order Information form to follow/track all resident physician ordered diets, allergies, and preferences.
Maintain food service records in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford's policies.
Store food in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford's policies.
Ensure completion of the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
Ensure the kitchen and dining room meet regulatory requirements and Bickford's expectations for cleanliness.
Coordinate with marketing and life enrichment leaders to ensure appropriate food/refreshments are provided for tours and events.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED; one-year related experience
Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.
ServSafe, CPR and First Aid certifications required
A valid driver's license and a driving record that is consistent with Bickford's insurance carrier guidelines
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
Competent in organizational and time management skills
Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Job DescriptionAs part of the Subway Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:
Providing an excellent guest experience
Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful
Controlling inventory
Scheduling and supervising staff

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist , key parts of your day to day will consist of:
Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
Scheduling and supervising staff
Practicing inventory control standards
Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITESExperience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
