BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the general supervision of HumanResources Specialist 2, the incumbent of this position will act as a HumanResources generalist and provide a variety of services to department management and staff.
WORK PERFORMED:
Oversee the performance program/evaluation cycle process for agency staff. Monitor due dates and work directly with managers to fulfill negotiated agreement requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).
For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required. However, all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.
At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. Specific Responsibilities
Provide call centre support by opening and resolving tickets through a HumanResource ticketing system to capture all requests and inquiries submitted via phone, email, or Chat.
Perform accurate data entry into the HR database and other HRIS systems to include updating employee records and payroll corrections.
Provide excellent telephone customer service skills to ensure the correct information is gained and queries are resolved.
Provide and maintain professional and quality customer service to employees and managers across the business.
Work professionally and effectively with other Central teams involved in the employee lifecycle, such as Payroll, HR Operations and Recruitment.
Run reports through Query Builder and other information from systems to efficiently resolve inquiries.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the HR, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
Collaborate with HR and Finance for benefit premium reconciliation, invoicing, and other relevant accounting activities.
Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and end-of-the-month accruals.
Manage timely garnishment processing with HRIS vendor and applicable creditors.
Support workers' compensation administration, including codes, notices, invoice reconciliation, and auditing as required.
Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed.
Reconcile 401k matching, estimated matching, and PTO accrual liability.
Support relevant benefits, workers' compensation, payroll, and/or tax filings as required.
