    This is a doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position, you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. Job Details: Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed. Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered. Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you. You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day. You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day. You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day. The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you. You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial) You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.     The IT Specialist is a highly motivated and organized individual responsible for coordinating assisting the Clinical Informaticist in the day-to-day operations of the IT department. The IT Specialist will also provide support to the IT team, assist in the implementation of new systems, and ensure the team meets their goals and deadlines. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and execute IT projects and initiatives, such as new hardware and software installations, system upgrades, network security, and system maintenance Monitor and update system performance and security Provide technical support to users Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure proper maintenance and operation of equipment. Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures Assist in the training of users on new systems and software Maintain strict confidentiality to sensitive and confidential information contained on computers, servers, networks and clinic operations. Be on call to fix issues which may occur after hours. Develop and maintain documentation for IT systems and processes. Conduct regular audits of IT systems to ensure compliance with policies and standards. Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements. Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs. Assist in the budgeting and procurement process for IT equipment and services. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements. Ensure the timely resolution of IT service requests and incidents. Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation. Participate in departmental Quality Assurance and Performance improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned by Clinical Informaticist. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and/or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role. Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and hardware. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
