    This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you. Job Details This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket. You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services. Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets. You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls. You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal. Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls. You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service. Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

Typical Day: Desktop support administrator is highly dynamic and centers around solving technical issues for end-users. A significant portion of the day is spent handling and prioritizing support requests, with the remaining time dedicated to projects, system maintenance, and documentation.. Tasks: * Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware, operating systems, and software. * Diagnose and resolve end-user issues (software errors, hardware failures, network problems). * Troubleshoot printing issues (drivers, queues, printer connectivity). * Reset or unlock user accounts and passwords. * Set up new desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals. * Ensure systems have updated antivirus/antimalware protection. * Apply patches and updates to operating systems and applications. * Install, configure, and troubleshoot standard business applications (Office, browsers, collaboration tools). * Push software updates via MECM, PowerShell or other management tools. * License tracking and compliance. * Respond to tickets, phone calls, chat requests, and walk-ups. * Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or specialized teams. * Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system. Requirements: Education: Bachelor' s Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent in accordance with Education/Experience. (Desired not required) Education Substitution: Two (2) years' experience may be substituted for an associate's degree. Experience: Four (4) Years. * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance. * Must have at least four (4) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment. * Must meet DoDM 8140.03 (formerly DoD 8570 IAT-II) compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Server+). * Experience providing IT support services and troubleshooting across mixed environments, servers, mobile devices, A/V equipment, and Active Directory. * Extensive working knowledge of Operating System delivery methods (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), etc.) and troubleshooting command specific applications. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. Certifications IAT Level II.
