About You: Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Department Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Inpatient veterinary team. In this role, you will manage staff, ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, and provide the resources and support needed for our clients, patients, and the entire Pieper team. The ideal candidate is an experienced Veterinary Technician (CVT or VTS preferred) with 3-5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience, ideally in a 24/7 emergency, specialty, or high-volume practice. Experience in large primary care or urgent care settings will also be considered. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership skills, including the ability to work alongside your team in a clinical capacity for approximately 25% of your time. We believe that the best patient care comes from collaboration, mentorship, and mutual support. As Department Manager, you will lead a team of 50-60 veterinary technicians and assistants within a 24/7/365 service model, working closely with other hospital managers and directors to ensure the highest standard of care. We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a team sport, and we value collaboration from every staff member. Your voice, insight, and leadership will not only be welcomed-they will make a real difference. Anticipated Schedule: 5 days a week Weekends and Holidays are required. Compensation: Pay range starts at $75,000-$95,000 based on experience / certifications. Key Responsibilities: Manage and support a team of 50-60 veterinary technicians and assistants, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management. Develop personalized growth plans and provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to staff. Collaborate with the head of services to improve workflows and increase departmental efficiency while maintaining high-quality care. Provide advanced nursing care to hospitalized patients. Teach basic and advanced veterinary skills to new and experienced assistants and veterinary technicians. Address client concerns and ensure smooth department operations. The City Center Rink is looking for a seasonal Assistant Manager position. The staff member will work under the supervision of assistant managers and will report to the City Center Manager. Opportunities at the City Center are fun, fast paced and challenging. Assistant Managers should be able to work in a high volume customer service setting, have strong leadership skills, and be able to facilitate effective communication between staff and management. The Rink also has Spring-Fall programming so this in an opportunity that can be extended past the winter.
