General Description: The Area Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the contractor Planning & Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) processes and functions for our Major Capital Projects. This new position will be based in the Cameron, LA area, and report to the Senior Director, Planning & Scheduling. This position will collaborate with Venture Global project management and contractor personnel to provide leadership and oversight of planning professionals assigned to the project. The primary focus of this position will be the safe and efficient work planning of civil and structural activities, pipe installation and testing, electrical and instrumentation installation, materials management, and commissioning & start-up activities in support of the overall project schedule. In addition, this position will ensure contractor employs robust planning & advanced work packaging processes and procedures in accordance with the goals and expectations of the Project. The role will also require effective communication to Project and Executive Management for timely decision-making and incorporation of stakeholder input. The role will be based at our project site, with potential for travel to other project locations and contractor offices. Responsibilities: Work with Project Team supporting the tracking and execution of EWPs and PWPs Provide oversight of the contractor's WFPs (Workface Planners) and support development of Field Installation Work Packages (FIWP). In this dynamic role, you'll dive into a variety of tasks to ensure our store operates smoothly and efficiently. From overseeing computer-based and on-the-job training to upholding essential policies like attendance, safety, and uniform standards, you'll be at the forefront of our team's success. HOW YOU WILL DRIVE SUCCESS: Provide prompt and courteous guest service, answer questions, and investigate and resolve guest problems and complaints Maintain inventory control with thorough knowledge of the cost of goods, turn-ratio, ordering and receiving products, etc. Responsible for budgeting, sales forecasts, P/L performance, etc. as well as understanding factors which affect sales and profit such as guest counts, marketing, weather, etc. Maintain or direct the maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds, including but not limited to the air compressor, HVAC, flooring, bay nets, oil/water separator, interior and exterior lighting, dumpster area, sump pump, waste oil system, tire rotation lifts, overhead doors, etc. Troubleshoot and coordinate the on-going maintenance of the POS system Provide supervision and training to teammates including scheduling, coaching, performance management, and performance appraisals Hold teammates accountable and utilize appropriate teammate performance management techniques when necessary Arrange for employment advertising, interview, and select teammates Monitor staffing levels and adjust accordingly to maintain labor control Conduct Teammate Orientation meetings if needed at your location Provide safety, security, and environmental leadership for all store personnel with thorough knowledge of lockout / tag out procedures, MSDS, waste policy compliance, Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures (SPCC) plan, the company safety manual, and OSHA & EPA resources and compliance.
