The General Manager (GM) is responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse operation. The GM is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department. The Material Handling Shift Manager is responsible for leading teams of hourly and salary, bargaining and non-bargaining employees in completing material receiving and delivery activities that enable the plant to meet daily production targets. This role directly supports daily production, the Material Handling Shift Manager is responsible for troubleshooting problems as they arise and allocating resources and manpower accordingly to resolve issues without impact to plant throughput performance. The Material Area Shift Manager is also responsible for directly managing a team of salaried non-bargaining employees, accountable for employee hiring, training, performance and retention.
