**What will I be doing?**
As a Banquet Manager, you would be responsible for managing the daily execution of all banquet functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability\.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Manage daily Banquet functions to include, but not limited to, planning, organizing and executing breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, etc\.
- Oversee the setup of function rooms to include, but not limited to, the placement of linens, silver, glassware and chinaware according to event specifications and a full inspection
- Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counselling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
- Recruit, interview and train team members
- Communicate function specifications, procedures and changes with affected departments including, but not limited to, the Food and Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio Visual and Housekeeping
- Oversee the breakdown of the function room and ensure proper storage of equipment
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards

**Responsibilities**
In this role, you will lead a team to ensure the overall operations of the hospital for food service and nutritional care are being met. You will also perform inspections of all assigned areas to make certain the highest standards of Quality Assurance Control are being upheld.

Responsibilities
Approaches all encounters with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

Supervises the handling, storage, and security of all catering service equipment and decor.
Assists with staff training programs.

Attends weekly food and beverage meeting to continuously evaluate strategies and ideas for enhancement to benefit the guest experience.

Qualifications
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; one year to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification.
Valid Managers ServSafe Certification.

Operations and quality control: Ensure all beverages are prepared and served to high-quality standards, and that all areas maintain cleanliness and safety regulations.
Works with bartenders to ensure all pours are being measured accurately.

Inventory and vendor management: Oversee beverage ordering, inventory, and waste reduction. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business, Sales or a related field preferred, not required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a beverage management role, with experience as a Sommelier or Bar Manager.
Level 2 Certified Sommelier from Master Court of Sommeliers required.
Proven track record in cost control, budget management, and staff leadership.
Relevant certifications are highly recommended (e.g., WSET, Cicerone).
Knowledge of local liquor laws and required licenses.

Responsibilities
Directs food service operations within the community including all food preparation, dining room operations and dining delivery services. Purchases all food and manages inventory ensuring effective cost controls and vendor service and quality. Ensures the highest nutrition and food quality for the health and pleasure of the residents. Complies with all federal, state and local regulations to ensure sanitary and safe operations. Plans and executes entertaining dining events and themes in conjunction with Activities Director, Marketing Director and other administrative staff to optimize the life and pleasure of the residents. May also cater events as requested by residents or staff.
Hires, trains and manages all supervisory staff for the kitchen, dining room, catering and delivery services. Ensures that supervisors maintain a safe and sanitary environment and provide a caring and pleasurable dining experience for the residents. Coaches supervisors in maintaining appropriate staffing levels and effectively motivating, disciplining and training associates.
Consults with chefs and cooks to develop and maintain pleasing and nutritious menus. Assesses and determines the desires and preferences of the residents regarding food selection and presentation through surveys and daily contact with residents. Ensures preferences are incorporated into the menu and events. Understands the dietary needs of residents and coordinates with dieticians, nursing staff, and care associates to ensure proper selection, preparation and delivery of meals.
Develops department budget including purchasing and staffing expenditures. Approves food orders from company or selected food vendors and ensures a proper level of inventory to meet demand and minimize cost and waste. Routinely monitors budget compliance and recommends changes as needed to maintain operational quality and resident satisfaction.
Encourages the identification of enjoyable ways to encourage socialization and enjoyment of residents through the use of food presentation and events. Improves the décor and condition of dining rooms to ensure a safe and pleasant experience.
Networks with Regional Food Service Directors to improve operations, reduce costs and to obtain new program ideas for creative operations.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
College degree in food service or hospitality management is preferred. A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in the food service industry including at least three of those years in a responsible supervisory role of others preparing food and servicing customers. Experience to include management of food inventories and budgets.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
Current ServSafe Certification required. Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
