Ensures regulatory and legal compliance. Serves as the Facility Privacy Officer and custodian of all medical records for the organization. This position is located on-site in Gillette, Wyoming. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Establishes, implements, and reviews goals and objectives for all direct reports. Analyzes, selects, and implements programs necessary to achieve the hospital's goals and strategic plans. Lead diverse teams to ensure compliance with State, Federal and local regulations. Provides strategic direction, leadership and overall management oversight of Health Information Management (HIM) functions in a multi-facility setting with multiple departments, including scanning, and release of information functions. Responsible for developing and maintaining effective policies, procedures, systems and working relationships with other departments, providers, external attorneys, regulatory and other reporting entities as well as Revenue Cycle and Quality/Risk. Oversees HIM, CDM, Hospital and Physician Coding, and Clinical Documentation Improvement Managers and personnel to promote steady work flow, productivity, quality, timeliness, and attainment of system and departmental performance goals. Works collaboratively and proactively with other department leaders, physicians and Hospital Leadership, using key performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities, facilitating work groups, and implementing improvements in performance and outcomes. Ensures the appropriate dissemination and communication of regulation, policy and guideline changes related to HIM, coding and clinical documentation. Develops staff performance expectations, goals and metrics. Measures and communicates achievement throughout the year, and makes operational adjustments as needed. Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including: interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees. Depending on the area, you may be required to assist in the engineering of the OSP projects. This involves, among other things, creating the labor, material, and overhead project estimates. As a Network Specialist - OSP Construction you'll be expected to oversee numerous construction projects, possibly located in multiple locations. You will continually monitor costs and job progress to ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within budget. You'll also be responsible for ongoing communication with various governmental agencies to protect the TDS OSP network from being jeopardized by proposed road improvements and may be required to negotiate with municipalities or other utility companies from a network and a legal perspective for the purchase, lease and/or sale of inner ducts, fiber and/or complete fiber networks. The ideal candidate will reside within 20 miles of Billings, Montana in order to be available for in-market support and travel. Responsibilities Responsible for the coordination of OSP projects and/or supervision of consultants who are responsible for coordinating outside plant field construction and splicing operations in multiple locations and states. Provide technical support for special request projects such as major road moves or potential on-net builds. The successful candidate must work with Finance to ensure proper accounting of facilities placed and interact with the legal department to ensure that the company is not at risk in any asset transfers. If needed, assist in the engineering phase of projects. This involves creating labor, material, and overheads project cost estimates. Provide audits of OSP projects and coach consultants and/or contractors to ensure accuracy and consistency. The audits will ensure compliance with NESC standards and current TDS OSP standards.
