Essential Job Functions:
The IT Technician Intern will provide support for a variety of technology solutions.
Provide exceptional customer service while responding to phone, email, and online requests for technical support.
Clearly identify, document, and find solutions for technical PC issues, product problems, and software infrastructure
Troubleshoot and resolve PC incidents.
Support computer software integration by diagnosing and troubleshooting common problems.
Support current project and daily tasks related to support offerings, software and hardware upgrades, and new user set up.
Track and monitor all support cases to ensure timely resolution and follow-up.
Provide hardware and software technical support through remote communication.
Ability to convey technical information to non-technical users in a clear and understandable manner.
Perform additional duties as required.
Competencies:
Familiarity with PC hardware and Microsoft software
Ability to show initiative to identify and solve interesting technical problems and share the results with the wider organization.
Excellent analysis and debugging skill.
Experience in IT or a technology-related environment, which can include internship, part time, or academic/work-study experience.
Works independently with the ability to multi-task while having excellent attention to detail.
A creative thinker with excellent interpersonal, communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills
Must have an eager drive to learn, adapt, be accountable, and grow into the role.
Qualifications:
Working towards a college degree in Computer Science or Information Management.
Work Requirements:
This position is based in a fast-paced office setting. Equipment utilized will be computer, phone, fax, copy machine and other standard office equipment. Typical office hours are Monday to Friday 8 to 5.
While performing job functions the employee will be required to talk and hear most of the time. The employee will spend frequent intervals moving and sitting, while also needing to reach, bend, twist, crawl, crouch, stoop or kneel. The employee will need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds frequently. The physicality of this job is low.
