Currently, we are seeking a Program Assistant for the Spring 2026 PROMISE Program which serves non-IMSA students currently enrolled in the 7th grade. The program will run on 8 designated Saturday sessions.
Program Dates and Details:
Expected work hours are Saturdays 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Maximum number of participants: 50, divided into two groups

Responsibilities

Attend all scheduled Saturday program sessions, including orientation
Supervision duties begin the moment the first tutor arrives until the last student departs at the conclusion of the program
Providing support during each session: check in, classroom setup, snack distribution, transitions, etc.
Weekly check of student tutor availability
Attend all preparation meetings such as tutor training
Assist Program Manager gather materials as needed
Serve as liaison with parents regarding safety, security, or emotional concerns as needed
Evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods
All other duties as assigned

As a Seasonal - Social Service Assistant your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Coordinates and leads the station's Youth Conservation Corps Program.
* Provides technical guidance and direction in all phases of each field project to the YCC enrollees.

Essential Functions of Activities Assistant:
* Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule
* Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities
* Prepare special snacks with residents
* Set up the dining room tables for activities
* Clean up after all activities
* Complete required logs and charting
* Keeping all activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter
* Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan
* Assist other departments with residents as needed and required
* Weekends, holidays and evenings required
Qualifications of Activities Assistant:
* High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
* 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
* 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
* Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
* Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.

Under the direction of the Director of Business and Workforce Development, the HCCTP Coordinator will provide management and highway construction training per the IDOT HCCTP contract. Advises students on program requirements, verifies eligibility, and assists with job placement. * Manages trainee caseloads, monitors progress, and provides individualized support. * Conducts regular one-on-one meetings to deliver program information and job search feedback. * Facilitates mock interviews and provides evaluations to enhance trainee preparedness. * Stakeholder Collaboration and Outreach *
Establishes and maintains partnerships with IDOT, highway contractors, trade unions, and internal college departments. * Coordinates placement and referral opportunities for student trainees through stakeholder engagement. * Compliance and Reporting *
Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, as well as grant requirements from IDOT, ICCB, and HLC. * Oversees program scheduling and curriculum to meet institutional and accreditation standards. * Completes timely reports on program outcomes and activities for the College and IDOT. * Budget and Grant Management *
Prepares, monitors, and maintains program budgets, including salaries, stipends, supplies, and equipment. * Tracks expenditures, reconciles grant accounts, and oversees all fiscal activities. * Completes budget modifications, requisitions, and bid specifications as necessary. * Monitors grant activities and ensures timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in education, workforce development, construction management, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. * Two (2) years of experience in program coordination, workforce training, or related administrative roles. * Experience supervising staff and managing budgets, preferably within a grant-funded or educational/training program environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong understanding of workforce development practices, training program design, and student support strategies. * Knowledge of federal and state compliance standards related to grant administration and reporting (e.g., IDOT, ICCB, HLC). * Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and track outcomes. * Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work with diverse populations, including students, industry partners, and institutional stakeholders. * Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching, mentoring, and supervising staff and student trainees. * Proficiency in budgeting, financial tracking, and preparation of program and fiscal reports. * Ability to build and sustain professional partnerships with employers, unions, governmental agencies, and educational institutions. * Competency with technology tools for data management, communications, and reporting.
